The great thing about this hat is you can leave the feather in or take it out, whichever you feel like. I like to have it out myself, although it is a nice feather. I'm sure there's something else I can do with it. A feather this nice shouldn't be wasted.

The hat's a little pricey compared to an old baseball cap, but that's because the quality is so much nicer. It looks smashing, and I think I look quite smashing wearing it as well. I'd like to wear it more often, but I'm sure I'd look too conspicuous.

Of course, it would be fun to stand out once in a while, but then I'd have to argue why wearing such a hat is gentlemanly. If I try to say all of the grandest gentlemen wore these derby hats 100 years ago, my audience probably argue that 1,000 years ago the grandest gentlemen wore togas, and yet no one looks like a gentleman wearing such a thing today. I have yet to find a good counter-argument.

That being said, the hat's a good one, and I'm glad I got it. But I know better than to wear it on a windy day. Derby hats don't stay on too well.

The hat was shipped immediately after purchase and arrived safely at my doorstep within days. Upon opening, I realized that the photo does not do this piece of skull-covering any justice.

The fabric of the outer shell looks and feels very high quality and the satin/silk lining on the inside helps finish the piece and keep your hair in shape.

I could do without the feather, but then again, I'm not a real sassy guy.

I Like the look and the hat arrived in perfect shape thanks to the excellent packaging. I needed a hat on these cold days and a stocking cap with a dress coat just makes you look sloppy. Great Job and made here in the USA, makes it a win-win...!

I received a Bowler/Derby hat when I performed during the 2002 Winter Olympics as part of my costume and fell in love with it. It has since shown the wear and tear of that love. This hat was a great replacement, both sturdy and of a high quality. Just make sure you know your head size before ordering and I don't think you'll be disappointed. (I removed the feather in my hat- it was a nice feather, just not my style.)

I bought this hat for a costume party. I was surprised at how nice it actually is! I wasn't expecting much, but it is a very nice high quality hat. Only downside is that it is a tiny bit smaller than I expected based on the sizing, wish I got the next size up. Be careful on the sizing and you should be fine.

I bought this hat for my husband Christmas present this year with the intent to get him out of his dirty old baseball caps. Well it's worked, he been wearing it for family events and when we go out now. He loves his hat. The hat is very firm and feels lovely to the touch. I was worried it would be cheap feeling like the ones at the local costume shops but it's not. This is a real hat that can be worn daily, not some cheap piece of costuming junk.

Admittedly we have had to put a little bit of additional lining in the sides because it was a bit loose but now it fits wonderfully. The only thing that would make buying this hat easier on-line is if the sizing chart said how big the hat was in measurable dimensions.

If you are looking for a good and reasonably priced bowler then this is the hat for you.

Bought this hat for a halloween costume but it is too nice a hat to let sit in a box for a year. Excellent product and very quick shipping.

Actually there's no parade, but it definitely is a hit. This hat is awesome. I wear it pretty much everyday at work and everyone loves it, including me. I've had many compliments on it. Once I put it on, I can't take it off. Mostly just to cover up the hat-hair I get from it, but I'm not complaining about that.

Got this hat for halloween and it turned out to be great quality and a perfect fit, i like it so much i wear it when i go out even though it isnt halloween anymore! always get people asking me about it.

D: WOW I ordered the hat on November 4 and got it today November 6, I guess maybe beacause I live in New York.
The hat is just as an English gentleman will wear(good thing I can take the feather out) The hat looks great from inside and out, looks very strong also it is perfect for winter seems it is made out of wool.To make my review helpful I'll like to say that just keep in mind you are buying it from an outlet, be sure this is the hat you want beacause this is not a regular fedora hat this an English man hat or dervy or bowlers hat, this is not the litle hat that you see celebrities or asian people wearing, this is a true dervy hat. I'm a 23 inches and got a large and it fits perfectly.
