Book Description

February 1, 2008
By defeating the previously unbeaten New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, the New York Giants pulled off one of the greatest upsets in the history of sports. Blue Miracle: New York Giants 2008 Super Bowl Champions provides readers a complete picture of the Giants 2007 season and the team s third championship. This unique collectible book features the championship celebration in New York City, including the ticker tape parade down Broadway. Filled with quality color images from the award-winning Daily News photographers, the book highlights all the key games and significant turning points from the regular season, including losses in Weeks 1 and 2 to the Cowboys and Packers, the team s six-game win streak to right the ship, key road wins down the stretch against the Lions, Bears, Eagles, and Bills, and a much-publicized home defeat to close the season against the Patriots, the Giants eventual Super Bowl opponent.

From training camp in Albany through the celebration on Broadway, the Daily News was there to capture it all. Blue Miracle: New York Giants 2008 Super Bowl Champions is the perfect collectible to celebrate New York s latest sporting triumph.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Liked this book March 7, 2008
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
What I like about this book, is that it is a collection of articles from the Daily News, that were written during the season. It gives it a good perspective as to how close many of the games really were, and how close the Giants came to blowing many of them. It made me remember that during the season, I was often frustrated, and not very optimistic even when they won. If your a Giant Fan I think you'll like it, and the NY Post's book is good as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Written, But Lacking An Important Photo March 14, 2008
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a very well written book that points out why the Giants were an illogical choice to win the Super Bowl at the start of their season. As a fan, I was ready to write them off just about every time they took the field and this book points out very well how close each game really was. It was a true seat-of-your-pants season! The only problem I have with the book is that there is no complete team photo. It would have been nice to have seen the whole team and their coaches together, because after all, it was a whole team effort!

The Patriots book has ten more pages
True, but I think I'd rather get the book that isn't fradulent. 19-0 is clearly false advertising.

Disappointing read
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Peyton Manning? Since when did Peyton Manning play for the Giants :) The picture on the front cover is of Eli Manning holding up this years trophy during the parade in New York. Take your book back if you like, but at least get your facts right.

Another disappointed Manning
They won.
I could say a lot of mean, hateful stuff, but I'll just say this:
