I was at this concert at Madison Square Garden and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The energy in the room was unbelievable. PJ flat out rocked for three hours, joined by surprise guest Ben Harper on Daughter and Indifference. Highlights were an 8 minute Evenflow and a performance of Do The Evolution that you'll just have to listen to because I can't explain what it was like. I can't honestly say that this recording is the next best thing to being there, because the next best thing would be a mind-blowing orgasm, but this 3 CD set is the next best thing below that.

I also was at this show. As a matter of fact, I attended a lot of concerts during this particular tour, and this was, by far, the best of the five that I attended (New Orleans, Albany, Mansfield 1, and Mansfield 3). As a matter of fact, the show was one of the best rock concerts I've ever been to. So my review of these discs is definitely colored by that experience. I will not speak about audio quality or whatnot. I also don't know how someone would react if they just bought this disc without being a Pearl Jam fan (cannot say for certain that this is a good gateway to the band, ala the Who's Live at Leeds). All I know is that if you are a Pearl Jam fan, you should really love these discs. Lots of music. Lots of energy. Great selection of songs.
