Several significant typos, but still rewarding,

I've completed 26 books of this type (Acrostic, Acrostix, Crostic, Crostix ...), and in the others, typos were rare and insignificant -- they were in the clues. This book has several instances of mislabeled letters, a few cases where "(two words)" was missing, and one case where "(two words)" was on a one-word answer but missing from a nearby two-word answer. I was still able to solve the puzzles, however, and I enjoyed them.

The NY Times acrostics are always challenging, which I love. If you are new to acrostics, or just want some that are a little more "mindless", then I suggest the Mensa acrostics book, they are much easier.

This is a nice collection. Some fairly easy and some that really challenge your imagination.

I love these. But will someone PLEASE format some of these for my Kindle? I've tried the regular NYT crosswords on the Kindle, and they work very well. About as interactive as a Kindle gets. Or should get. Acrostics on Kindle seems like a no-brainer, because it would automate that annoying cross-entry (and the inevitable transcription errors I seem to make). Oh well.

My 82 years old husband cannot go to bed at night without working on acrostics. They are rarely available in our local booksores, so I was delighted to find these on Amazon. They are exactly what he wanted and if heis happy, then our household is happy!!!

Challenging and mind absorbing. I like it because I can start a puzzle, lay it down, and take it up again. Sometimes the answer comes after I have laid aside the puzzle for a time.

This was a gift for a friend's birthday. He liked it but I was a wee bit upset that the cover of the book was bent. Looks like it happened before packaging.
