This was a Christmas gift for my New York Times reader son. He was so surprised, said WOW, and all the grandchildren, aunts, uncles hovered around him forever to find a specific subject, etc. We all enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great learning tool, March 5, 2007
This review is from: The New York Times Almanac 2007: The Almanac of Record (Paperback)
I purchased this book for my son who is 20 years old. He never really reads and I thought he would flip through this and put it on the shelf. He has told me that he has read this book from cover to cover, and keeps it by his bedside to read an exerpt every night. It got him interested in reading and learning. I have never seen my son on fire for knowledge like he is now. This book is a great source of information and highly recommended for anyone who has not discovered the joys of reading

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best World Almanacs, November 14, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The New York Times Almanac 2007: The Almanac of Record (Paperback)
I had looked at some other Almanacs before buying this one, but found that this one seemed to contain much more information, and that the information was exceedingly more detailed then some of the others. I highly recommend this almanac.
