About the Author

Will Shortz has been the crossword puzzle editor of The New York Times since 1993. Mr. Shortz founded both the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, where he serves as director, and the World Puzzle Championship, where he is the captain of the U.S. team. He is the current Puzzlemaster for "Weekend Edition Sunday"on National Public Radio.

this book is a great size; it's big enough to fit comfortably in the hands and be easy to read, but is small enough to be great for traveling. if I had one complaint, it would be that the pages are too thin to make using an inky pen viable, but they're no thinner than normal pages! I can stick to a Bic :) I highly recommend this book to any intermediate-puzzler. the puzzles are challenging and fun and help improve crossword skills...hopefully by the time I'm through with this I can tackle the Thursdays!

I did not receive the New York Times Crossword puzzle book. Either it wasn't sent or it was lost in the mail. Suffice to say I'm disappointed.
