Ryan Adams Says, "I Love New York!",

Ryan Adams is certainly one of the best artists to come around in the past ten years, and "Gold" is the one that set him off on most of his rockets. In a point in time when any song that referenced "New York City" was used in tributes and in grief, the song is strangely about a break-up, using the city only as a backdrop. But nevertheless, the song has a rather upbeat feel to it, but it seems a bit too studio processed, or radio-friendly. In either case, this is fixed nowadays when Adams and The Cardinals play it in its truest rock form. In this form, it's 5 stars all the way, but in this album version, it's a bit tiresome, but still enjoyable.
