I bought this on a whim, before a trip to New Zealand, and was pleasantly surprised.
I did not pay much for it, and was unsure what to expect. It turned out this is a fascinating book with a lot of information about New Zealand's flora and fauna. The photographs are lovely, and there's a lot here you won't see in a standard book about the country. I gave this as a gift, and it was a very popular choice.

I gave this book as a gift to a friend who just returned from New Zealand as a memento of her trip. She loved it, and as she looked through it she remarked how typical the photos are of her experience.
