4.0 out of 5 stars Great old school adventure game April 9, 2012

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
If you like point & click old school adventure games, this is it! Good story & plot about global warming and how a team travels back in time to warn people. The only con is that the game is translated so the lips don't match. The puzzles actually fit the story line. Under $20 is worth it.

Adventure games thrive by amazing artwork/backdrops and story, and the creators of this game fell short on both. The art, while not the best, is still good and could easily be overlooked if not for the story and play of the game. The game is supposed to be mature themed, however the dialogue and story paces like something a child would have written on a sugar kick. The voice work is horrible, choppy, and amateur and prevents you from immersing yourself into the game fully. I dreaded any speaking...in fact if you do play this you may be better off putting subtitles on, though even then the conversations will not always make sense.

What I can say for this game is you can see the workings of a really solid game. The idea and the outline is good, the artwork could use a facelift, and re-do the dialogue and voice work. As I said, the outline is good, but the story details are just sad and weak.

I am no good at reviews, but as this game did not really have any reviews (you always need more then one) I thought I would toss another out there. Bought it on STEAM for an afternoon killer, something to fill the spot of games like "The Dig", which it did not even come close to.

Oh, and finally, the characters are just no where near believable. It's like the world is ending and they rounded up the Z team because the A team was too busy. But they all got killed so they rounded up the brothers and sisters of the Z team that nobody talks about.

Do not bother with.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money & time May 9, 2013

Background art is really beautiful in this game. That pretty much sums up all the good one can say about it.

The story is about climate change and human responsibility done in a terribly preachy and pushy fashion. The eco-friendly message could be useful and important but the way it's done makes one shiver - illogical and twisted story setup, contrived dialogue and nonsensical situations. All that comes through at the end, though, is that eco-terrorism is good.

This game seems to be more geared towards adults, however, the complexity of the story would be simple even for a 5-year old. THe ending is so nonsensical, I had to do a double take.

There's a time travel element to the story which could've opened up all kinds great puzzle and storyline options but other than the initial setup, it's completely unused. I can't even imagine why did they even bother with it in the first place.

Voice acting (English version) is incredibly bad - I refuse to believe that human voice actors were even used for this. The way voices sound makes me think they were generated using speech engines and a few voice packs. Subtitles and labels in the game have numerous typos and translation errors.

While character art and animation are passable, cutscenes are done in an comic-book like, static way - still images float around in frames. It looks like amateurish Flash animation.

The game is also buggy - it's not possible to save after a while (even though the game has seemingly unlimited save slots).

Avoid this game - there are much better games to play.
