not as raised as it appears, and not "large"; barely fits the smallest of my dogs, a 50-lb. retriever. should be labeled "medium." as such, overpriced.

This bed is so simple to put together my 12 year old assembled it. It is sturdy and my dogs both love it...it is a little smaller then i expected so I am getting a second one for my other dog. Both dogs have some issues with ripping up beds, these fir snugly in the frame so I think there will be no issues. A++!

This was way more than I expected for the price. It is plastic but looks like wood and honestly is your dog going to know? No. I wish it was bigger because it says "large" but it is absolutely NOT for a large breed dog. My dog is a beagle and she just fits on it curled up to lay down, if she wanted to sprawl out she could not have much room to do so. So anything much bigger than a beagle is not going to fit! It would be nice if the bed frame stood higher off the ground. The picture makes it look as if it does and it is not really "raised" so I plan to have my boyfriend create a better bottom for it. The cushion is nice but it really is not much, I surely would not sleep on it! So I lined mine with a furry comfortable blanket for the dog to have a bit more comfort. I have not tried to clean it as I have not had it long. The dog does not really like it but thats because she is spoiled and wants to sleep in my bed (which I can not sleep with her in it because for a small dog she sure takes up some room-- whole point in buying the bed) She is getting the hang of this being her bed though. I also bought her a large comforter to keep warm in because she loves to be under and engulfed in blanket! She falls right asleep once I force her onto it lol so if you have a small or medium sized dog this will work wonders and is worth what you pay. I have paid a lot for just a stupid pillow on the floor before and as she is my baby I do not see how I could make her sleep on that! So this is cute. It gives your dog the feel of their own "real bed" and makes me feel better knowing she is not just on some flimsy pillow. The item says its cleanable and just to take the outer case off of the matrress and you can machine wash. Once I try it, if I have problems I will be sure to update!
