I think the best part of this scale is the fact that I can put a plate on it, then turn it on and the plate weighs as zero. I can then add food onto the plate as an exact portion size. Being able to check for carbs, fat, protein etc has been a real eye opener!

I have loved this scale since the first time I set eyes on it and the real product has not been a disappointment. The scale looks fantastic. I have not used all of the features, but really enjoy the tare feature as well as the ability to move between grams, ounces, and pounds. The digital readout is clear and readable. The on/off feature works great, and I'm sure that is prolonging battery life. I have not had any problems with batteries getting run down too quickly. The only thing I really have any concern about is being able to clean under the glass plate. I have been able to wipe off the front and so far grime has not been a problem. It's just hard for something to be in the kitchen and not get dirty. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

This scale has worked fine for me. The food code look up is a bit difficult and makes it a must to always have the manual for looking up the food codes. The glass top is a potential breaking issue. I knew all of this before purchasing the scale so it's not a complaint but an observation, I have ordered other nutrition/food scales that are more user friendly and durable.

This product was all that I expected. My daughter is a registered dietician and recommended this type of scales, it tells you a lot of nutritional information, if you are watching what you consume.

I bought this scale about 3 years ago. I use it every day, and in all that time I think I've had to change the batteries maybe two or three times. I was worried that it might become inaccurate as the batteries drained, so I bought a set of weights that I use to check the calibration every week. The 100g, 50g, 20g, 5g, and 2g weights read right on every time I've weighed them. The scale has trouble with the 1g weight, so I wouldn't recommend using it for anything less than 2g. It's also very durable. I packed it in my carry-on bag on a trip. I was afraid it was going to get damaged, but it survived and is just as accurate as before. The scale is made in China.

i bought this scale to help me with my diet and it is very easy to use! i am not yet gotten the hang of figuring out how to program foods in yet, but i will look at the directions in more details. it is very user friendly. i even dropped it on hard wood floor and it held up fine!

I got this scale a few years ago as a Christmas present, and it has lasted a long time. It just now needs a new battery. It readily switches between grams, ounces, and one other unit that I can't think of right now. It's very easy to use, except for the part where you look up the food item calories. That part is difficult. I use it with the online weight watchers program, and it works great for knowing exactly how much you're eating.

I DID QUITE A BIT OF RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING THIS SCALE. THIS MODEL WAS HIGHLY RATED & SOUNDED ALMOST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
AFTER FAMILIARIZING MYSELF WITH THE SCALE, I FOUND OUT THAT IT IS SO EASY TO CONVERT FROM ONE ENTRY TO THE NEXT WITH EASE.
I WAS UNFORTUNETALY DIAGNOSED WITH DIABETES THEREFORE I NOW MUST WATCH MY CARB INTAKE. IT IS RATHER AMAZING HOW THIS SCALE PERFORMS, IT DOES CONVERT FROM THE WEIGHT TO THE CARB COUNT TO CALORIE COUNT AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON. GREAT PURCHASE, GREAT INVESTMENT ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.

THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THE BUTTONS ARE RATHER SMALL, AND IF YOUR EYE SIGHT IS AFFECTED ESPECIALLY BY DIABETES, IT IS RATHER HARD TO READ IN LOW LIGHT. THE POSITIVES DEFINITELY OUTWEIGHS THE NEGATIVES.
I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND THE SCALE IS VERY EASY TO KEEP CLEAN AND LOOKS MODERN.

I have owned this scale for nearly two years. I didn't start to use it diligently until about a year ago. I didn't use any of the features other than weighing my food in grams and ounces, so the next scale I purchase will be much more simple. I have no idea if the extra features work or are advantageous, but if you're looking for a simple measuring device, this scale may not be the best choice for you.

I was forced to stop using it, however, after receiving error code OUt2. I have looked all over the manual trying to figure out what this error code means! The manual does not say. I've replaced the batteries twice to no avail. I'm frustrated that I'm going to have to replace this $40 scale already, and would have expected something like this to have lasted longer.
