The book Bridge to Terabithia is a brilliant novel made by Katherine Patterson. Its a close heart touching story about a cowardly boy named Jess Oliver Aarons JR. and a risk taking bold girl named Leslie Burke. These two are unusually the best of friends. When they create the new world they can be anyone and do anything. Which teaches Jess to have the strength and courage to face his fears and brave it out at school and in life.

First of I would like to say that this book inspired me and left me thinking about it after I had finished it which in my opinion only happens when you read a VERY good book. My teacher 3rd grade teacher was the first one to read this book to me. It was wonderful! A year or so later I read it again (I have now read it four times) it is honestly one of the most touching, best written books I have EVER read and I would highly recomend it! It displays friendship, and courage and sorrow. Normally I do not read books twice because they dont interest me anymore but I could come back to this book several more times and still love it! Please read this book!

Think on your own and let others be able to experience the privilege as you have. Bridge to Terebithia is one out of the hundred books on the ALA list of most frequently banned. This book is one of the most talked about out of the list of 100. Some people's reason for wanting this book banned is the way young characters experience the reality and tragedy of death. They think that kids should not be exposed to things that they have not experienced. One other objection may be some questionable language. In my opinion, I think this book is a wonderful piece of literature that should be read everywhere. So, as my final words I would like to say that before you take away someone's freedom of expression, you should consider all points of view.

This is a review from a kid: I think everyone can agree that the begging and middle in this book are hilarious and full of imaging. Unfourtunely Lesile dies...but that dosent mean you should stop reading. I had to read this book for a school reading list. I just finished reading it.I myself would have stopped reading and rate this as 2 stars. If it werent for my mom who urged me to keep going. So out of this girls eye not only were the begging and middle superb but so was the end.

I thought this book was not going to be too interesting until I started reading it. The author has a good subject and meaning for the book but Paterson surprises readers with some of the language and it is probably too adultlike. I experienced something that happens in this book and I was sad. I feel that anyone who decides to read this book because of any book review will be in for a surprise. I am glad to write this review so if anyone reads this review maybe they will have an idea of the book. There is also some foreshadowing as in, "It didn't occur to him until the car was past Millsburg that he might have asked Miss Edmonds if Leslie could have come, too." which says something might happen back home. There were some parts I think you would be amazed, at the way Paterson uses some similes and metaphors that have great techniques and really appeal to you. They also jump out at you. A simile in the book is, "Momma would be as mad as flies in a fruit jar if they woke her this time of morning." One of the metaphors were, "The place was so rattly that it screeched when you put your foot down, but Jess had found that if you tiptoed, it gave only a low moan." In conclusion, I enjoyed this book and had fun with the activities.
