The ultimate geek album and one of the best concept albums ever recorded!!!,
This review is from: Jam On Revenge (MP3 Download)
Based on the samples given on this page, this is the original Jam On Revenge album. Its songs are connected conceptually and through various sounds (i.e.: wind, thunder, etc.). Jam On Revenge tells the story of a band of musicians from a far off galaxy where music and dancing are against all cosmic and computer laws. It includes songs about computers, androids, robots, space travel, aliens and Superman. The original album cover, pictured on this page, was drawn by Bob Camp. The title song and Jam On It, the best known song from the album, repeatedly use and probably even originated the word "wiki" (the first "wiki web" didn't come out until ten years after this albums original release). Throughout the album there is a theme of individuality.
Essentially, Jam On Revenge has pretty much everything that a geek should love. The title song also pokes fun at old school rap, which was still something new at the time when this album originally came out but which is probably more an interest for geeks these days. The album is heavily synthesized and electronic but that actually accentuates its conceptual theme of computers, androids, robots and space travel. Jam On Revenge is one of those rare concept albums, like Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, that blows your mind every time you listen to it from beginning to end. Jam On Revenge is my all time favorite album and if you give it a chance I think you will love it too.

The cheering gets annoying at the start of each track, this is a problem when you have the stereo up real loud to appreciate those baselines.
