Great for newcomers like me, November 15, 2003

This is an excellent guide. I've used many sections to point me in the right direction - getting a driving license, radio stations, good eats, getting to airports, metros, churches, tax stuff. I love the district outlines. It's clearly laid out, well indexed and easy to use. All in all a brilliant resource for my relocation from London - a difficult thing for a book like this to achieve in a city that's constantly evolving.

Very nice guide to newcomers like me!, February 16, 2006
This review is from: Newcomer's Handbook for Moving to Washington D.C. Including Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland (Paperback)
This is a great little guide to the neighborhoods and general features of life in Washington DC. In conjunction with the "Not For Tourists Guide to Washington DC", these two books provided me ("a newbie") with everything I needed to find my feet in DC.
