I only bought this to take apart my MacBook so I can upgrade the hardisk and memory.
The small philips tips werent as snug a fit as I hoped, and required alot of pressure to
prevent it from stripping the screws. I ended up using a Craftmans philips that worked better,
but after the philips screw already had been stripped a bit.

The torx drivers fit well, I just wish the philips was a little more precise.

I received a Belkin Computer Toolkit Belkin F8E062 55-Piece Computer Tool Kit with Black Case (Demagnetized Tools) last Christmas and have used it several times. The one thing it really lacked though was a good, solid Torx, Phillips and flat head miniature driver set. I need screwdrivers that were small and sturdy enough to handle those tiny little computer screws in Macs and PC's without stripping them.

I was removing a keyboard on a Dell laptop to replace it and realized just how important the sturdiness of a small precision screwdriver was. I nearly stripped the screw with my Belkin toolkit because the precision kit was rather cheaply made. The NewerTech 11 Piece Computer Toolkit does not try to do everything like my Belkin kit does ... but what these little precision screwdrivers do, they do well. I am happy that I made the extra investment in this set to adjunct my other toolkit.

I highly recommend these if you do any type of laptop, (Mac or PC), tower or even game system work. They are nice and solid.

5 stars.

Taking the price into consideration, it's fair. Materials and quality are just fine for the hobbyist or do-it-yourself-er but you'll want to spend more for better quality tools if you plan to use these frequently as a professional. Only issue I have is the foam fitted cutouts could be a little snugger, every time I open it one of the drivers and one of the nylon pry tools is floating around instead of snug in their spot as they should be. Would have given it 3-1/2 stars if I could. Better than 3, not quite a 4.

I share the previous reviewer's frustration. My new Mac Mini, 16GB of ram, and 240GB SSD still sit in pieces because this set's T6 Torx Screwdriver is the wrong size. Do yourself a favor and get someone else's T6, or supplement this one with a T5.

This kit was advertised to work with ANY Mac product. Wheeee! iPods, iMacs, iWhatevers. I was impressed by the photo of the kit and it looked like a good product. I ordered it to install a new 500 GB Hitachi hard drive to replace the original, but found, after disassembling several parts with one of the small Phillips head screwdriver, a Torx 6 wrench was called for to remove some additional parts. It was my first time doing this, I was all excited and all had gone flawlessly so far. Smiling at my success to this point, I pick up the T6 driver specified to unscrew a tiny T6 screw, AND THE FRICKIN' DRIVER IS TOO BIG! It just slid around on top of the screw--even after applying pressure. Boy did I start to curse! But in good Buddhist fashion cooled down, took a deep breath and put the Mac back together with a smile... and decided this product really deserved a review. Otherwise the tools seem a good value.

If you are only looking to use it a couple times it is great but don't buy it thinking you are going to be able to open a laptop 3 years from now. The bits start to strip out on the first one!

Bought product for a Sony Vaio surgery. Nearly wore out the phillips head screwdriver on the one job removing/replacing ~30 screws. I'd buy a better kit if I had it to do again.
