I ordered this talking scale for my father. He is 86 years old and part of his medical condition requires him to record his weight daily. Because of poor eyesight he is unable to read the scale himself, even on the "large" size dials of other scales. This scale clearly announces his weight and is loud enough for him to hear. It was very easy to pop the battery in and start using it.

Only minor complaint is that it must be placed on a bare floor, not carpet, in order to get an accurate reading.

the prodcut shows correct result and the voice is very clear to understand. i love the product...

The voice has an asian accent, which will take a while for my mother-in-law with poor hearing to undertstand, but otherwise perfect product

I bought this for my 80 year old mother with vision problems, the first week it worked great and then it started giving two different weights, when you stand on it, it will show that your 174 and say that you are 4 to 10 pounds less, I put industrial stenght enegizer batteries in it so thats not the issue, it's not working out for my mother.

Sound quality is poor and at a low volume. Speech has peculiar accent, and before turning off says: "thanks usage." I don't know what that means, but I don't want to start my day off with bad grammar. It does look cool, though. I will be returning it, but be careful if you buy it and want to return it, it must be shipped back within 5 days (and they don't give any breaks for weekend days).

I'll never buy this product again, I used it when it was necessary. I had it for a short period of time & under 2 years the unit did not work. I would tell the public not to buy this unit unless you enjoy being ripped off. End of story.

Volume is very low. It is illogical to require someone with low vision to tap the scale in the middle to turn it on before stepping on the scale. There was no warranty information included with the item though the description states that there is a warranty. If the item is no longer on line later, how do you prove that there was a warranty and whom do you contact? I've had other models with much louder voices, clearly heard with just stepping on, with specific warranty information included.
