We buy lots of raisins & NONE compare to these. They are plump, soft, & sweet. No yucky, hard, & bitter raisins here! What makes them perfect is they are organic AND delicious! You will love them! Your body & the environment will thank you!

If you're used to those best-selling boxed raisins that feature a health woman happily working in the fields, get real, and then get Newman's Organic Raisins.

These may be the best-tasting grocery raisins you've ever had. Nothing even approaches these for their flavor, texture, and all those Newman Company extras that aficionados like me adore. (We're talking organic ingredients, environmentally sound production, profits donated to the needy, and supporting the goals of one of the most compelling actors of all time, and a heck of a nice guy as well.)

But back to the food at hand.

These are plump, JUICY raisins, startlingly different from the usual fare. I don't know how they do it, but Newman's Organic California Raisns retain their natural flavor; pleasant scent, and a succulent mouth feel that one expects from fine port. One "secret" may be the ingredients: Raisins. C'est tout. Make that ingredient, in fact. THe only thing missing is Newman's usual story on the package--usually some wild, adventurous story shedding light on the product, and featuring Mr. Newman as raconteur-narrator. Perhaps with raisins this classically delicious, we must resort to the Latin --"Res Ipsa Loquitor" -- the thing speaks for itself. Unbelievable.

I love organic raisins and eat them every day. I have tried many different brands of them and I honestly think that these are the very best of them all! I love the container and the ease of opening and closing it, also. The raisins are always fresh and delicious. They are never dried out, like other brands sometimes are. I am addicted to these.

These are the Best Organic Raisins I have tried to date!
they are sealed, fresh, soft and moist with a Burst of Flavor...each
and every can. When I divide the cost out on what I was buying before
i.e. store brand organics....there is no comparision...
Newmans Own is far Superior in cost, taste, and I can recyle the packaging
in my recycle program on the curb.

The taste, texture, and appearance of NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS RAISINS are outstanding. These raisins are USDA CERTIFIED 100% ORGANIC, CERTIFIED ORGANIC BY OREGON TILTH, and a PRODUCT OF THE USA. Over the years, I have consumed no better brand of raisins. I am a highly informed and very particular food consumer who maintains a very healthy organic diet. I purchase no brand of raisins other than NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS RAISINS. In my opinion the producer of NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS RAISINS uses no additives (organic or otherwise) to preserve freshness or for any other reason, and the soil in the fields in which the producer grows the grapes for NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS RAISINS is very high quality organic soil. In the past, it was my customary practice to purchase organic raisins in bulk on a more or less weekly basis at the RAINBOW COOPERATIVE GROCERY store in San Francisco, California, where I have been purchasing all of my household groceries for the past several years. However, more than one year ago, I quit purchasing those bulk organic raisins because consumption of that product slightly aggravated a personal dietary sensitivity. The label above the store bin that contained the bulk organic raisins stated that they were 100% organic. However, each time that I consumed some of the bulk organic raisins, I experienced a sensitivity reaction. It seemed to me that the bulk organic raisins possibly had an additive (albeit organic) or possessed a characteristic that aggravated my dietary sensitivities due to a possibly inferior quality of the grape producer's soil. NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS RAISINS do not aggravate my sensitivities. In my opinion and according to NEWMAN'S OWN ORGANICS, its raisins have no ingredient other than natural organic raisins.Read more ›

We bought the Made in Nature organic raisins when Amazon was selling them for $21 and change for 3 three pound bags. It was an amazing deal and they tasted great. Two weeks later we came back to order more and the price went to over $32 for the same amount. We decided to try these and pay a little more per pound, even higher than the increased price on the Made in Nature. Opening these tonight was a huge disappointment. These are small, dry and borderline nasty. There is a brand from Meijer here in Michigan that runs about $5 a pound - those are amazing Raisins - no more gambling from the internet!
