Just the FACTS Ma'm,
By crayola@fishertowne.com (Buffalo, NY US) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Newnes C++ Pocket Book, Second Edition (Hardcover)
This is hands down the best reference I have ever seen for C++. I have spent years trying to find a concise guide that would answer my questions about he C++ language without lots of 'fluff' text surrounding it. Mr. Sexton hits all of the important concepts right on the head.If you are the type of programmer that can understand new material when given a good concise explanation, I would highly reccomend this book. It is on a par with books released by O'Reilly.

Great C++ reference book,
By Ide Sanni Esangbedo (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Newnes C++ Pocket Book, Second Edition (Hardcover)
It is a great pocket C++ reference book, easy to read and understand, and straight to the point. Common flaws, some of the declared functions are not defined. However, if you define all the required functions, the sample code will compile and run. Enjoy!

Beats K & R as a beginner's handbook,
By A Customer
This review is from: C Pocket Book (Hardcover)
Ideal for beginners and proficient programmers alike. It answers the sort of questions beginners need to know which K & R fails to do, such as an excellent explanation of complex pointer declarations.
