I've owned this bed-in-a-beg set for four months now and I would expect it to survive 4 years of college dorm stay. The pillow is the only thing that might need to be replaced within that time frame. The duvet is not super thick but it is soft, as is the mattress pad. The pillow is decent and is not as thin or as cheaply made as the $10 target/walmart pillows I am used to purchasing. Considering what you get for the price, I would purchase this product again.
