This bed is perfect for a smaller room or a teen/pre-teen who wants to have a sitting area in their room. It assembles quickly (it took one person less than an hour) and looks fantastic. We have the cherry finish and it was easy to find complementary furniture locally. The drawers underneath provide additional storage space and keep the kids from kicking things under the bed. I purchased this item for $948 in June 2011 and it was the least expensive one I could find online. The company shipped quickly and we had it within just a couple of days.
