I edited this concert DVD for the Newsboys. I spent around 300 hours selecting shots and finessing edits. I LOVE IT! I have watched it from start to finish more times then I can remember and it still excites me and touches my spirit. It is a wonderfully entertaining and engaging PARTY!

PS Other than the company I work for being hired to produce this video, I am not connected to the Newsboys. I get nothing for writing this review. I did get to meet Peter Furler and he is very genuine. Buy this DVD/CD and you will be so glad you did.

*While Phil Joel is definitely missed, this is still a wonderful concert. Phil is such an iconic member of the Newsboys history. I am sure that he is a very difficult person to replace. I personally think that Paul Colman is a wonderful addition. No, he isn't SRV, but he is a very competent guitar player and adds very good vocals. While there is some overdubbing going on, it was done to enhance the quality of the performance. The majority of what you hear is a live performance. All of the different vocals and instruments were captured separately so that they could perform the kind of mix and EQ work that just can't be done live. Just like the shooting of the video. We captured all of the cameras separately and chose which ones would be viewed after the fact.

I bought the cd/dvd last week
I want to say i played both the cd/dvd many times and thought it was all good. I'm glad they put the dvd in the collection because its a more
personal experience to see the Dvd. I love the song (Stay strong) which is on the newsboys hits cd . The song was touching and powerful.
as for the rest of the songs they where great and they did a great job singing them. I enjoyed peter's testimony tores the end of the collection
my only negative thought was i wish he did a few more songs after he spoke the testimony ...I undestand you cant put much on a cd but through the dvd
there should of been more bonus songs .
I give it 5 stars for it was one of the best cd collection that fans
will surely love

As someone who was at a GO tour show, I was quite disappointed at the DVD/CD. It's obvious that almost all of the vocal and instruments have been overdubbed. As a result, there's the odd feeling as if I were listening to a studio recording mixed with a crowd track. I dare assume that one wouldn't expect pitch-perfect vocals and dead-on-the-beat instruments (esp. Duncan's drum fill-ins, which have been heavily edited... Look closely when the camera's zoomed in on him), and as such, I'd be confident in saying that the result, this "live" album, missed what buyers would have wanted, and did so by far. It's disappointing especially since the actual show itself was so good! However, in the defense of the album, if all you're looking for is a glimpse of what the live shows were like, and different renditions of their newer songs, you will not be disappointed.

I had the good fortune to see the Newsboys during the 'Go' tour. Experiencing this DVD is a fun way to relive that.

Although the audio CD is good, there is not too much in it that is very different from previous releases. I do think that the versions of 'Blessed Be Your Name' and 'I Am Free' are better on this than the originals.

There is a lot of energy in this live performance that is a real treat. One part that is incredibly fun on the DVD is the drum solo. Seeing that live is amazing. Watching it on the DVD is pretty awesome as well.

This is a good pickup for any fan of the Newsboys. Anyone who is not a fan yet probably will be after this.

I'll try to make this review like a Newsboys concert,short...but sweet.In days when veteran acts are playing 2hrs a night,cramming two dozen,(sometimes more)songs into each set,the Newsboys have clearly chosen the easy way out.

For a band that has been around for two decades,with dozens of radio hits,you'd think the song selection would have been spread out a bit more,especially since it was the last tour with founding member,lead singer,co-producer and principle songwriter,Peter Furler.Not to be.
I saw this tour in Texas and it was the exact same setlist,jokes,banter and wardrobe,have the pictures to prove it!
On the positive note,the Newsboys can pack alot of punch in sixty minutes,probably more than some bands who stay onstage twice as long!They have the tunes,they play with stunning precision and heck,just about everybody likes 'em!Maybe one day they'll give fans the live album they deserve,for now,this will do.
The album is not bad at all,just expected a bit more bang from one of the best musical acts today!

Absolutely incredible. This would be getting a six star rating if possible. This will go down as the best album the newsboys produced. Even if you own all the songs on previous CDs, the newsboys slightly remix their songs live creating subtle improvement on all songs. The intensity the Newsboys bring to a live concert is captured wonderfully on the CD. I found myself singing aloud and dancing with my daughters (2 and 4) like we were at the concert.

"He Reigns" - is slightly heavier than the album version. Huge improvement over the original.

"Something Beautiful" has a more techno overtone and flows nicely together.

"Blessed be your Name" comes harder and stronger than the album version. The crowd singing along adds to the strength.

"Shine" is more complete. Guitar riffs have better flow and intensity.

While Indeed a great moment for a groundbreaking tour of the best Christian band of all time . There is little that's actually "live" about this DVD /CD (which is the case with most live albums) First of all , Peter while a great vocalist and the best front man in the industry just has simply never sounded this Pitch perfect live . The Band creates the illusion its live by even keeping certain lyric "flubs" But they cannot trick this trained Ear ! Also Mr Colman also seems flawless on the guitar and in fact he is quite a sloppy guitarist . Overall its visually a good show to watch . They are still a great band , But they are far from a tight musical Machine that they were when Phil Joel and Jody Davis were in the band .

Take this For what it is . If you want a real live album , Go pick up one of the bands live nation cd's from the "adoration tour " and hear how the band really sounds live ... No where near what you have on this release .

good dvd was sad as i watched them perform , not the same without all them.

This two disc set is awesome. The concert looks like it would have been a blast and the music is very up beat and up-lifting. I would definitely recommend this set.

This is a great CD + DVD combo. This is just another reason why the Newsboys continue to be one of the best bands around!
