I picked up a Newsmax magazine at our post office recycle box. Mildly interesting, so I accepted free trial subscriptions to their Franklin Prosperity Report, Financial Intelligence and Gold Stock Advisor. They sent a free book called "Aftershock" for trying out their publications. The authors' style offers the reader a fascinating study of intellectual arrogance, repetitive to the point of being hypnotic (they hope)." They seem to believe that the power elite's global government/bank and herd-of-people care system is a done deal and there's nothing anyone can do about it--strange, is it not? Newsmax is promoting the false "prophecy" of a house of cards that will soon collapse, by God's grace. Is this a news source to trust? Not. Look deeper, they probably worship the Georgia Guidestones at the full moon, believing there are humans so wise that a few should take away our freedoms for our protection...dream on! ;-)

Not impressed, July 30 I emailed their customer service to cancel all publications. The automated email response gave me a case number and said if I did not provide specific information, the response could be delayed. I replied with exactly what they requested. I have delivery & *read receipts* for every email I sent them after that--but no response. I wrote "cancel" and returned 2 invoices I received, but never got an invoice for the third. Oct. 8, I saw a $99 Newsmax charge poised to clear my account. They are so aware of their customer service shortcoming that their answering machine says "Do not contact your credit card company, we offer a full refund"...after they sit on your money for a while...add that up over probably thousands of transactions. I canceled all emails at least 3 times online, yet on October 11 (over 2 months later), I am still receiving unwanted email as my "subscriptions"--"it's a technical glitch." Don't add to their customer service overload--stay far, far away.

They are in for the money as everybody else, but... they use every little low dirty trick to get every penny out of you. I made the mistake of accepting an offer to get a "free" book, and it has been a nightmare. Expect dozens of spam emails every day urging you to buy gold, meet senior singles online, buy diabetes "natural products", and a very, very long et cetera. It is impossible to be removed from their marketing lists, as they do not honor requests to do so, even if you stop making business with them. The "customer service" channel is only responsive if you inquire for products. The "news" they report are written by people who do not "think" (they "know"). Summarazing: stay away from these people.

Newsmax Media Inc is a predatory bait and switch internet operation. Do not buy their products or give them any credit card info -- or you will regret it like I did.
Newsmax Media Inc. attempted to rip me off for The Gold Stock Advisor. They signed me up (unauthorized) for the newsletter and then charged my checking account for $99; that was before I received a bill. They tied up my $99 at the end of the month so I couldn't get gas, or anything else. My bank could not get hold of them, and had to reverse the transaction. Then they had to cancel and reissue a new card. Newsmax Media Inc is a predatory bait and switch internet operation. Do not buy their products or give them any credit card info -- or you will regret it like I did.
