About the Author

David Fowler is a former creative director and advertising copywriter. He has been passionate about newspaper advertising ever since he opened New Visions For Retail, Inc. a retail marketing and advertising agency in Connecticut in 1981. He created hundreds of ads for virtually every category of small service and retail business. When he's not traveling delivering seminars on strategic Marketing and advertising, he is usally found reading the newspaper always on the lookout for great ads.

This is a perfect book for graphic artists and sales reps that work at newspapers. It's simple, informative information that is delivered cleanly in the book. While designers and sales reps usually know what is supposed to be in an ad, this book is a great reminder and provides tips on how to create the perfect advertisement. Many of my staff refer to it again and again to get back on track.
