Richard Meeker did an outstanding job with this historical account of a man that was forced into greatness. I have read the books published about Si, however, Sam was the true conductor of this American tale. The book is a very well versed and easy read. I longed to know more. While 22 years have past since it's first print, this book allows time to stand still. Mr Meeker, thanks for your time and energy. If you have the ambition and desire to peek inside greatness, enjoy the read.
