These band-aids have pictures on them that appeal to kids and are not gender-specific. They take a little skill and practice to apply, but they seal completely which helps them stay put better than most, even on active kids. In fact, my daughter kept one on for over a week, because she was scared to have it pulled off.
I am a hospital worker. I am constantly washing my hands. Ordinary bandaids get saturated with water and fall off after the first washing, making them useless. These are wonderful. I recommend them to all of my coworkers and have made believers of all who have tried them. They do take practice to get them on correctly so expect to toss a couple for the learning curve. They are flexible, making them excellent for hands and fingers. They are waterproof and stay on until removed. I can't recommend them highly enough!
I bought my son some Nexcare Tattoo Waterproof Bandages a few months ago, because every time he'd use regular bandaids, they'd fall off after getting them wet.
Alas, we don't have to worry about THAT anymore! Nexcare bandages are clear (unless you get an animated motif--we got Finding Nemo) and make a GREAT seal. Even if your child gets the wound area wet, the bandage will STAY ON. Plus, it's not bulky like Band-Aids--and it also lets the skin breathe.
Highly recommended if your child's band aids don't stay on or if you want waterproof bandages!
