Adam Raphael has produced two wall calendars for the year 2010 and each of them is well worth buying or giving as gifts. ALL AMERICAN GUYS, his other calendar, seemed to be about as wholesome a survey of healthy young men as one could imagine. BOY NEXT DOOR, a generously rich 12" X 24" high quality wall calendar retains Raphael's tasteful view of admiring the physical beauty of young healthy men enjoying their blossoming lives, but this time the views are more personal. Each richly colored, well composed photograph gives the viewer the feeling that each of the 'men of the month' are just waiting to be appreciated as physical specimens. There is nothing even vaguely suggestive about these images - no insinuations, no invitations to take the images further than they appear - so the calendar will be equally at home on the walls or doors of admiring women of all ages as well as the men who are looking for icons for inspiration to keep the gym attendance steady and the diet healthy. Once again Adam Raphael has captured a slice of refreshing Americana and shares it with the viewer for monthly inspiration! A great buy and great gift! Grady Harp, August 09
