a fun, romantic read, April 8, 2008
This review is from: Next Door Daddy (Mule Hollow Matchmakers, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
Pollyanna McDonald relocates to a small town in Texas, hoping to start a successful bed-and-breakfast. And hoping to restart her life that stalled with the death of her husband. Rancher Nate Talbert knows it's time to move past the death of his wife... but it's hard to start liking someone else when you've got a big hole in your heart. Plus the women in town are man-crazy and he's not too sure he likes that characteristic in a woman. When Nate comes to his new neighbor's rescue (more than once!) and he invites Polly's son to learn farm chores on his ranch, he feels the hard edges of his heart start to soften. But both he and Polly have know loss before... do they have the capacity to find love in each other? Clopton's Texas charm invites the reader to "come on in" to the story and relax in these pages. Peppered with humor, readers will enjoy a gentle laugh while also falling in love with the characters.

A Real Charmer!, January 17, 2008
This review is from: Next Door Daddy (Mule Hollow Matchmakers, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
When your soul mate dies, does your chance for romantic love die too? Widower Nate Talbert and widow Pollyanna McDonald have both decided that the answer is yes. But when Pollyanna, her son and their eclectic menagerie move next door to Nate, none of their lives will ever be the same. Once again, Debra Clopton invites readers to the fictional town of Mule Hollow and delivers a story full of unique characters and heartfelt emotions. This is Debra's most personal novel to date, and is dedicated to the memory of her late husband, Wayne. If you're a Debra Clopton fan, be prepared for another rolicking, romantic adventure. If you're a new comer to Mule Hollow, get ready for a read you won't soon forget!

Next Door Daddy Is Heartwarming!, September 9, 2010
This review is from: Next Door Daddy (Mule Hollow Matchmakers, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
All of the Mule Hollow Matchmaker books have such delightful characters and Next Door Daddy is no exception. You will come to love the characters, and want to see them become a family. I also love this author's touch of humor in her books. I have read the entire 13 book series and love every one of the books! No big drama to the plots, just a wonderful feeling of continuity in a wonderful community that you come to feel a part of. Start with "The Trouble With Lacy Brown" and read them all to see what I mean. What's not to like about single 'hunky' cowboys who want to get married, and a 'posse' of caring older matchmakers who develop a plan to help bring the gals to the guys?
