Excellent introduction to the ills facing Los Angeles. A good overview of potential solutions being offered by various community and social organizations.

Sucks but cures insomnia
This book is poorly written and an absolute chore to read. On any given page, a tiny bit of useful information is buried under a pile of extravagant vocabulary, which is generally confusing and completely pointless but I'm sure serves some author's inflated ego quite well. Detestable that somebody finds this appropriate as a textbook.
