The lack of USB charging is especially confusing considering how the charging light turns on when it's plugged in via USB.

I now wish I would have spent the little extra and bought the Samsung or Kindle Fire.

I originally bought this tablet at Wal-Mart, because I was looking for something to tide me over until I could afford my laptop. It's good and cheap (price and quality). Probably the first thing I noticed was that, when trying to manage the memory, the settings app froze. What kind of device can't even handle managing its own memory? The next thing I noticed was that, of the 8 GB it supposedly has, 7 of it is programmed as an SD card, so you only have about 1 GB for apps. It takes a while to turn on, and it overheats and resets easily.
The charger cable for my tablet shorted out within a few months, and seeing as how it doesn't charge via USB, I have to mess with the cable until it's in a good position to be able to charge. The lack of USB charging is especially confusing considering how the charging light turns on when it's plugged in via USB. It has decent app support, but some of the apps you'd expect it to be able to run aren't compatible.
Honestly, I wish I'd waited a little longer and gotten a Samsung tablet. This one is low-priced, with a matching quality.

My husband bought this for me as a gift. I really enjoy it for the price. I really wish the camera was better. I also have had some slight issues with the screen as well. Overall I really love it. Special note.... cases are hard to find.

I bought for my daughter for Christmas and after the second day the display screen was no good it went into a colored fog like a 15 or 20 year old TV. I contacted Nextbook and they said to return the tablet at my cost and they would send me a new one and it would take 14 days to get the new one. I now wish I would have spent the little extra and bought the Samsung or Kindle Fire. Now I am out the cost of the the tablet and with the shipping I could have had a Samsung or Kindle Fire. Not to mention my daughter is now with out her Christmas present for the remainder of her vacation. Nextbook representative could careless about trying to expedite a new tablet next day shipping while I spent the money to send it 2 day air in the hopes it will help speed up the process.

I like it for the cheap price, since it has Android 4.1.1 , there are some app won’t installed from the play store. Most app installed runs ok. However Skype keep on reseting after run for a few seconds. If Skype runs, I will bump up the star. Hope Android 4.1.1 can be upgraded to 4.4.x for this tablet.
All these issues may be resolved.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas, but within 2 days it was broke. Granted, it was dropped, but I've dropped my android phones a dozen times and my iPod touch a bunch and they never split open at the seems like this thing did.

However, even prior to it breaking, it was iffy at best. The power button failed to turn on the device half the time, I had to plug in a USB cable to "awaken" it for some reason. Not sure what that was all about.

Battery life is very short. Don't even think about using the USB cable to charge this thing (it comes with a power-supply also). It actually UNcharges half the time while plugged in. You end up with LESS battery after an hour of charging sometimes. Again, why? Not sure, but it's annoying.

Heavy. Probably why my daughter had trouble holding this. It's very uncomfortable to hold up with one hand, unlike other tablets. The 8" "square" design is a bit awkward, and the resolution is only a 4:3 ratio, not even widescreen.

Luckily I was able to return this to the local big box store and get my money back. I'm definitely spending a bit more to get a galaxy or something more "normal" or "mainstream"....and a case!
