I bought our DVD player from Target over a year ago and it is still doing great!! I really like the bracket that attaches it to the car seat. Seems very secure. Thinking about purchasing this same model for a second car. I have had great luck with it!!

My husband bought this product for my daughter for a long road trip. This was the first portable DVD player that we have purchased. At first we thought that it was wonderful , the picture quality was good, the sound was great, and installation was very easy. About three months after the purchase it began to break. At first the door that holds the DVD in place behind the screen broke off. My daughter was overly gentle with the product because she enjoyed watching movies on the commute to school each morning so she was devistated when it broke. Soon after the door broke the machine began to work unreliably. Sometimes it would work and sometimes there would be sound without a picture. Now the machine works some of the time and the picture is ALWAYS in black and white. This is very upsetting to us because the DVD player was costly and we have not even had it for a year and it is already useless. I have contacted the warranty department of Nextar and have authorization to send it back and they say that it will take 6 - 8 weeks to fix. We will see if they hold true to their word about repair time. If I had it to do over I would NOT buy this product. I would definately go for a player that is manufactured by another company.
