We have had constant problems with this item. Nextar did replace the first one, and the second one worked for 2 weeks and "died". I'd recommend a REAL travel alarm clock and separate photo holder.

I made the mistake of buying three of these for gifts. The instructions are very poorly written and combined with malfunctions of the device, make it extremely difficult to program. Something is wrong with each of them and on one the screen stopped working within days. Since they were kept for a month before giving them, and they were sent overseas, it's very difficult to return them now. Don't waste your time and money on this item. Spend more and get something that works.

I received this quickly and was very excited to get it ready to give as a Christmas gift. I got everything set up easily. It was even fairly easy to get pictures downloaded and they look really nice on the screen. Then I went to close the cover and it broke right off. Wouldn't suggest this for a gift.
