My wife purchased two of these tablets for her two young boys. She didn't want to spend much so she picked up these at Walmart... these are not worth it even at this low of a price. Here are my pros and cons

Pros
- Price
- 8GB internal storage
- 1GB memory

Cons
- Display, low resolution and poor viewing angles, which make the display hard to read
- Processor, poor performance
I could live with these cons above at this price but this last con is a deal breaker
- Internal app storage, even though there is 8GB internal storage, this has been partitioned off and they have only left 330MB of space for apps on first boot... then after starting the device for the first time and letting the Play Store update everything that's included on the device there is only about 100MB of space left for apps.

This is absolutely a ridiculous amount of space for apps now days and it makes the system perform very poorly when this space is filled... to put this in perspective, Google Chrome alone is 70MB in size. But there is over 5GB's of space left of internal storage for other things like files and documents... this space could have been shared better for application storage. There is no point to this device if you can't install additional apps on it... especially when you purchase it for your kids to install and play games that they like. I know some of you are going to say that you can move apps to SD... but you can't move all apps to SD and when you can move an app not all of it is moved, it still uses up some space on internal storage. I after a few months of the kids using the tablet I have found that I could not move enough apps to the SD card to get this device to perform well enough... only thing I could do is perform a factory reset and start over... but after just a couple apps installed it's back to the same thing again.

I did a lot of research on consumer reviews and comments on people that bought these before I bought mine.... It is wonderful... Have never had a problem with it except for Net Nanny.... Don't get trapped into that program. I could not even find any in my area but was traveling through Delaware and stopped at Walmart..they had about 6 or 8 in stock and only $69.00, no tax. Even at $100.00 it's a bargain compared to a Kindle. Just like a mini laptop. I love it.... No problems at all....

Verified Purchase
As a Mac owner, I never thought I would actually purchase and review an Android... because, after all, Android was supposed to be what Windows represented before in the days of gray taskbars... and yes, I remember the Power Macintosh. And with that said, here is my review:

Software

After using an iPad mini (which is what I'll compare this to), it is quickly apparent which operating system is superior in terms of design. Multi-tasking has improved dramatically with iOS 7, but switching through applications is fast and simple with one button, and existed long before iOS had it. There is no real home button to accidentally press--the home button on this device is a virtual button on the screen itself, next to the app list button and the back button. Notifications are a lot easier to read and understand, and Android has LIVE wallpaper on the Play Store--I'm not limited to a palette of bubbles. Widgets (similar to OS X or Gadgets on Windows/KDE) are fun, informative, and float right on the home screen, which for a mobile device, gives the feel of a desktop. I found apps just pin right on and off of the Home screen by dragging them where I want (no more having to hide them in folders, or flick to an empty screen to find relief), and that third-party apps can be installed with a simple switch in Settings. And I might add the ability to "right-click" is something sorely missed in iOS. Plus, I found I don't need iCloud, iTunes, iWork, or even iLife anymore to enjoy my content or edit files. And finally, this beautiful interface sits on top of Linux!

Is Siri needed? In my humble opinion, I really don't see why.

I wanted a tablet to read e-books with, to listen to audio books, surf the internet, check e-mail, watch youtube videos, and sometimes text with friends. Nextbook 7 definitely serves this purpose very well. Glad I bought it. I don't use it for games, or for netflix, or streaming movies or for the camera (though I thought it was cool it came with a camera built in...the quality of the camera is fair). Some people complained about the netflix app but I also heard that any of the kinks with apps can be worked out. I got my Nextbook from Walmart for a lower price. I was going to get a Kindle Fire, but after I read some many good reviews about the Nextbook online I was sold. I use it all the time. It's made of good quality materials (nice glass touch screen and solid build) and the battery time is good as well.

I purchased 2 of these tablets for my sons for Christmas. Less than 2 weeks of use and both tablets started having big problems. Screen wouldn't rotate on one. System errors on the other. Both would freeze on the loading screen. I returned them both and bought different tablets
