Just finished using mine for almost 1 month and have the second battery charged and ready in my camera backpack. My first battery is still going and have only taken about 100 shots. The battery indicator on my Nikon D60 still shows full and the camera has been exposed to temps above 100 degrees, sat idle with the camera "on" by mistake, and I've used the preview photos button hundreds of times to see what I've taken which uses the battery up. Bottom line: With the capacity size of these batteries against the standard battery that comes with the camera, this was a "must have" for me. The price for a 2-pack justifies the cost and longevity of the batteries. Also Amazon delivered my order fast! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I almost purchased the genuine Nikon batteries for fear that these wouldn't work well. Boy was I wrong, these are great and they last quite a while longer than the factory battery. They also hold their charge well. I left one in my bag for two weeks in 100+ temperatures, and when I loaded it into the camera it still had a full charge. Buy these with confidence.

I purchased two of these 1800 mAh batteries for the Opteka Grip, replacing the single Nikon factory supplied 1000 mAh D40 battery. Although I have not had the new running system up long enough, I anticipate that the power boost will about triple the capacity of the single stock unit (update): It actually worked out to a bit more than double the time! Note that these EN-EL9 replacements only work in Nikon D40, D40X, and D60 camera bodies! Other styles (part numbers) are available from Nextop for almost any popular Nikon or Canon DSLR.

Manufactured with a made-in-Japan Li-ion cell (probably Toshiba), I expect they are top quality, long lasting alternatives. For a <$20 purchase (for two), I am not worried much about longevity nor power. Even if they exaggerate somewhat, the gain is still in the huge category. I can now set my LCD timeout higher, without worrying about early power fail. Note that these batteries were delivered in 2 business days, fully charged and ready to rock 'n' roll! I like 'em.

I bought these batteries (2 of them) 2 years ago. For most of that time they have worked fine, although they only hold a charge about half as long as the one name brand Nikon battery I have. This is very light duty, by the way, I use the camera only occasionally. Last month one of the two simply stopped working - will no longer charge. I put it in the charger and the light won't even come on. The other continues to work fine. So I am not really complaining, as the price is low, but I am not praising either. They have been worth the (low) cost to have backup batteries.

Amazing batteries! I wasn't sure about ordering a battery other than a Nikon brand one. I just returned from an 8 day cruise and had inserted one of these fully charged the day before i left. I took over 600 pictures with the camera (about 25% used with the flash), reviewed them all more than once during and after the cruise on the camera itself, then got home and took some more pictures for Christmas, AND still have 2/3 of the battery strength left according to the camera!!!!! Never before has a battery impressed me this much!!! I might order another pair of these just to have!!! These batteries are awesome!!!!

I charged one of these up about a week ago, planning to field-test it, but I've been busy, so I was incredibly surprised and impressed by its performance yesterday....

Using my Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens along with my Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SLD DG Macro Lens with built in motor for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras, I *completely* filled an 8GB SDHC card with RAW photos -- 910 in all.

Keep in mind, I was using a very long, power-hungry telephoto/macro lens, and at least half of these shots were using fill-flashes! The battery strength didn't even drop a single tick until I'd taken over 480 photos! It had reached 1 bar by the time I'd finished my 910th shot, and the camera FINALLY locked the shutter AFTER all of the photos had been downloaded using NikonTransfer into ViewNX via USB cable.

That amount of battery stamina is simply incredible, and I look forward to see if they keep holding charges. I'm amazed by these, and the picture quality and flash were spot-on, of course. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

I've had these batteries less than 6 months. Both are now DOA, meaning they will not take a charge of any sort. Yes, they're "compatible". Yes they're cheaper. Now I know WHY!

Spend your money on a real Nikon battery and save yourself the heartache of popping a "freshly charged" battery in your camera in an important moment and finding that both it, and it's cheap twin, are forever dead, never to take a charge again.

Think you'll get satisfaction from the company? Think again.

All they will offer you is two more crap-tastic batteries.

Forget it. Time to do what I should've done in the first place: Buy genuine Nikon.
