After having this player for about 3 weeks the car adapter plug fell apart while in use. The product is a little flimsy and cheaply made. It just wasn't worth the $99.+ I would not buy this brand again - it was only used 3 times maximum in the time we had it and it's parts started breaking. We returned it for a refund and are looking into Coby players now as the reviews and feedback we've seen on that particular brand has been nothing but positive for a fairly reasonable price.

Do not buy - this product sucks - it has already broke after limited use and us being careful with the machine. it reads "no disc" when there is a dvd in the machine. it does not work at all. i hate these cheap dvd players - this one i thought was better made - but i was wrong. i only gave it one star b/c it kept saying i had to rate this - i really would have given it zero stars since it doesn't work at all and who know how much it costs to even fix it. probably not worth the $ to look into getting it fixed.

I have had this player for about 6 months. It has worked fine and there is a little kid-friendly remote that makes it easy to control the player from the driver's seat. My son watches it every day, and we have had little trouble. Figuring out the controls to use the menu was a little frustrating, but once I figured out the play button is the enter key equivalent, I was fine. I really like the kid-friendly controls. Other than that, it is about the same as any other player.

I wish we would have seen these reviews before we bought TWO of these. Yes, my wife went to Target and because we have twins, we bought TWO. Lo and behold, both don't work about 15 minutes out of the box. They just read "No Disc" and do absolutely nothing. These are worthless pieces of junk, and we wasted our money.

My wife bought this at Target because she liked the kid-friendly simplified remote. It worked OK playing a music CD, but with a brand new DVD it skipped and stuttered a few times before it froze up completely. This happened literally within minutes of taking it out of the box for the first time.

Judging by the other two negative reviews, this company has serious quality control problems. I'd rate it zero stars of Amazon would let me. Avoid this product.

I bought this dvd to use when traveling with my daughters. After using it several times, the battery started having trouble staying in place. Less than a year after buying this product, we can only use it with the cable.

DO NOT BUY! We bought this at Thanksgiving from Kohl's so we would have two. It was used a total of 48 hours (probably less). We just went to use it again for a trip and the entire battery had exploded. Literally. Pieces of plastic everywhere. It was stored inside my home where the temp is never over 75! Complete junk!

I never had any issues with my player, used mines while outing with my grands, kept them busy while I was driving. They played dvds & cds the whole 10hrs we traveled from NC to NJ actually this player was a VERY BIG HELP!!! I didn't have to pull my hair out my head cause of restless kids asking "ARE WE THERE YET!"

DONT BUY IT. OURS WORKED FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF MAYBE 6 TIMES USED AND THEN DID NOT WORK ANYMORE...PLUG OR BATTERY... THE CAR PLUG WAS ALSO BAD QUALITY. THE BATTERY NEVER STAYED CHARGED FOR A FULL MOVIE , I ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT TO TAKE ON AN AIRPLANE TRIP,AND GOT TO SEE ABOUT 1/2 THE MOVIE

My parents bought this for my son, and within a couple of weeks the battery failed to hold a charge, so this portable DVD player was now tethered to the wall constantly. Then after about 6 months, it quit reading DVDs all together. When contacting the company, they informed us there was a pathetic 90 day warranty, and advised us to go get it repaired, and if it's the drive, it shouldn't be too expensive. It was our fault for not reporting it to the manufacturer when the battery was worthless, but after playing a total of about 15hrs of DVDs on this thing, having it die is on them. I'll never purchase another product from the company, and advise everyone to avoid them as well.
