Major Functionality Problems,
By
This review is from: Nextplay Fashion iPod Docking Clock Radio - NP109CR
We bought this alarm clock for our daughter. We didn't get it on Amazon, but I was so put off by this product that I decided to leave a review here anyway. We originally thought it was really cool when we opened it because it came with tons of accessory "docks" to fit almost all types of iPods. It has a couple of major flaws though.
1. When the alarm goes off it starts at a low volume and then within 5 seconds it's blaring as loud as the volume can go. It does this in all modes (Radio, iPod, Buzzer). There is no way to change this and you can't effect it by adjusting the volume before the alarm goes off. 2. It has an Audio Out port on the back for attaching headphones, other equipment, etc. The only problem is, when you connect the headphones sound still comes out of the speakers too. To me, this is a major flaw. I'll be trying to return this product to the store as soon as I can find the box. It took us a week or two to discover these flaws, so hopefully the store will take it back.

Alarm Volume Not Adjustable,
By Lisa Wilson (Bloomington, IN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Nextplay Fashion iPod Docking Clock Radio - NP109CR
I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this. We bought it at a local Target (for the reasonable price and fashionable exterior along with the features offered). Like the others, I got it home and was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use (setting the clock didn't require scrolling through the hours - just pushing several buttons to go forward or back on the hour/minute, several different docks for various MP3 players, etc.).
The first time I used the alarm I did so with the IPOD. I purposefully set the volume low - only to be awoken to a blaring song. Repeated attempts (using both radio and alarm) have proven this will occur with any alarm method. There is no way to adjust the volume for the alarm - I guess the makers assumed everyone likes to be jolted out of bed in the morning. Cute clock/IPOD dock but I need a functioning alarm. I'll be promptly returning this.

cheaply made,

Bought this for my daughter (not from amazon)--thought it would look cute in her room. The first one didn't work, I returned and got a replacement. The docking port was not well aligned and broke off within about 3 months. The glowing blue display provides WAY too much light at night.

Bought this on clearance @ Target a week ago and ready to return it. I agree with all of the other reviewers except for one note, I was able to lower the volume in the alarm mode, while the alarm was going you can turn the volume down but this disables the snooze mode. I always use snooze so this does not work for me. Too bad because it is a cute clock and I really liked the idea of waking up to my iPod. Linda

Yes, yes, like the others. Bought it at Target for a gift for my daughter. Alarm blares after a few seconds-very annoying. Also, when she sets alarm to wake with ipod it works only sporadically. let's hope I can return it...

Not user friendly,

Not only is it not user friendly, in terms of turning the alarm on and off, the down volume was broken on ours. So, the alarm went off and went up to the blaring loud scream and couldn't ever get it back down! We returned it!
