Nexus: Coming Right up, Volume 9, April 1, 2009
This review is from: Nexus Archives Volume 8 (v. 8) (Hardcover)
The ongoing adventures of Horatio, Judah and Badger continue as they enter the Bowl world. From outer rim to inner city, the impending desruction of the world draws nigh as the Gravity well threatens explosion. Packed with good writing, good art, and some truly kickass space opera, Mike Baron and Steve Rude team up with Paul Smith and friend to give readers a ride for their money.
Combining issues 47 to 52, and the First issue, we can experience Nexus in almost one sitting. Dark Horse does an incredible job of production oand design on these books. Appreciated is the introduction by John Davis, Milton Griep and Michael Martens.
Of all the panels in the book, the one that summarizes Horatio's humanity best is when Kreed has commited suicide. He states after trying to revive Kreed, "I can save the solar system, but not a friend. This job isn't worth a tinker's damn."
That's worth the price of admission.

Pretty deep for a comic book.
