The bookshelf may not e sturdy when it doesn't have books on it, but mine is full and I've had it a little over two years now and have never had it fall or move around; and it's not anchored to the wall. So I don't know what the woman before me was complaining about.

The shelves are different sizes, so you can keep your bigger books on some shelves and smaller books on others. They shelf is a little ridiculous how small it is, but that's the only complaint I have. I've been able to fit every book I own, including binders on it with no problem. So, once again, don't know what the woman before me was complaining about.

It looks great! I get compliments all the time. And a great price! Especially compared to similar bookshelves.

This book case left a bit to be desired. Sure, it looks great and I'm always getting compliments on it, but unless you anchor it into the wall, it just doesn't stand still. Additionally, the individual shelves are not tall enough for binders or tall books, so most everything has to lay on its side, wasting room. I'm not entirely pleased with the purchase, modernly elegant, though it is.
