Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner is a popularly-priced conditioner, considering that it's generally classed as a salon product. It works very nicely for me, particularly during the long, hot local summers, full of heat and humidity, when every day is a potential bad hair day, and I need all the help I can get: this product leaves my thick, curly, fine, color-treated hair feeling soft and moisturized -- never greasy -- even if I do shampoo daily. This conditioner comes in a handy pump bottle, and claims to use technologically advanced NexxuSpheres® to deliver moisturizing lipids and soothing emollients into the structure of the hair throughout the day. It is economical, as it is effective in small doses - a little dab will do you. Furthermore, I find the scent quite pleasant; yet I am not allergic to it, and I am allergic to so many scents, I can't use many products. So, OK, I find it's a useful product for anyone trying to keep their hair looking presentable in those months of bad hair days.

I have been using this product for a while now. It makes my hair so soft and it smell really fresh and clean. I use it daily because my hair in natural. I am a black woman and my hair is curly curly curly. I rather use Humectress than Wen. Wen dryes my hair out.

I used this product for over two decades. It WAS a great conditioner. It HAD a mild scent, if any. It was redesigned in 2009 to have a very severely strong scent. I will never use any conditioner that has such a strong scent. Also I personally find the scent itself offensive. So, to summarize, it now has a strong, bad smell that will stay with you after you rinse your hair. Finally, the consistency is now much thinner, which I suspect will affect the quality of it's affect on hair.

I have contacted their customer service about this and they tell me that yes, they made these changes. For me, this product has gone from a 10 out of 10 to zero out of ten. It is completely destroyed.

Bought it for the wife, who complained about the quality of her current shampoo & conditioner. She loves it. Five stars.

My daughter requested that I obtain another supply of this product since she is unable to purchase more in Mexico City, Mexico. Of all the items that I had delivered to her, that was the item for which she was most grateful. She has been using this conditioner for at least a decade and will use no other; therefore, based on her opinion, I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product locally but it's not the same anymore. Went to Amazon to find old Nexxus Humectress. They still had some. Returned the newer version.
The old Nexxus Humectress detangles and rinses out of your hair without weighing it down.

Product sent is NOT what is pictured. Old formula is light grey cap, new formula is dark grey cap, so watch it. I called before ordering and was told I would get what is pictured. Buyer Beware!

Very unpleasant and strong smell on you AFTER using it. Seems to be thinner consistency as well. An email to them directly said that they "...are striving for better and their test group liked it". Translation: too bad we're making more money on it now by making it cheaper!!! Once they went 'public' this company lost their edge IMO.

Good news is, I found a place on Amazon that still has the old formula. Stock up because they are NEVER going back, only down. If I could put a negative star rating I would. I wouldn't put this crap on my pet rodent.

I used Humectress for YEARS and YEARS until Nexxus changed it. It was the only conditioner I wanted to use. Why they would totally change everything about it, I can't imagine. It used to have an incredible texture, a wonderful scent a bit like almond, and it was just fabulous for my hair. Someone told me they changed it so they could begin selling to drugstores, grocery stores, and places like Costco, hence the change and degradation of the formula so it wouldn't be identical to the old one sold in salons. The stuff is horrible now, the scent is terrible, I won't use it. The closest thing I've found is the Nectaress conditioner, which I like fairly well, but even that one doesn't seem as nice as the OLD Humectress was. I really don't understand why Nexxus would destroy a long-time favorite in this way. They lost a lot of business from me and others, who now buy other non-Nexxus products. If I could give the new Humectress zero stars, I would.

Purchased this product thinking that paying more would provide a quality moisturizer that would do wonders for my hair. I also checked out some of the reviews on this product. I was not impressed with it. I have curly hair that requires a good moiturizer to keep the curls looking shiny and non frizzy. This stuff does NOTHING for my hair. We also have the Suave Humectant at home and I compared the two. The Suave Humectant which you can buy at the store for FAR LESS than what you pay for this product, provided FAR BETER results.

I ordered from Amazing Wholesale Superstore and I got the newer version of the conditioner (with black top). This newer conditioner smells terrible compared to the original. I can't wait to rinse it out of my hair, no wonder why the instructions tell you to rinse it out rather than keep it in like the original formula.

The original Humectress also felt smoother going onto the hair and left a really fine, ultra silky feel to it. This newer formula feels like any ordinary conditioner, but with a salon-like price. I would definitely not recommend this conditioner as there are better values out there.

After a shower, my hair does indeed feel smoother and it doesn't kink up, but it's no different than regular conditioner. I could have paid a lot less and gotten the same quality conditioner from a drug store. There's nothing special about this Nexxus Humectress, yet they keep charging premium prices for it.
