Nexxus Therappe Shampoo -- 33.8 oz.

Nexus used to be my favorite hair product brand because they used high quality ingredients that did wonders for my hair. But in the last 3 years they have repeatedly tampered with their formulas to cheapen their products and still charge high prices.

I used to love Therapee shampoo. It used to be almost foamless, lightweight, and enriched the texture of my hair each time I used it. Then they changed the formula about three years ago to cheapen it. Now it appears that this year they have cheapened it even worse. It is now a gooey weird heavy shampoo resembling any cheap $1 brand you can get at a supermarket. And it weighs down my hair.

Google all the complaints on the internet for more info. Basically they have kept the same names on their products but completely changed the ingredients, misleading customers, into believing it's the same product. None of their products are the same as they were 3 years ago. It's basically either crap or mediocre stuff pretending to be what it used to be.

Many of the reviews on Amazon are from BEFORE Nexus started selling mediocre products in place of the wonderful stuff they used to produce.

I have been using Nexxus products for about 20 years. Therappe is the only shampoo and I use and will ever use.
It is wonderful on black hair especially natural black hair. I am 60 years old and my hair is in wonderful condition.
It doesn't break or fall out ever and this was a great value on Amazon.com.

I am an avid hair product buyer. I have pretty damaged hair, and have tried and used (for months) over 6 different kinds of high end shampoo. This is one of them that left my hair feeling soft, flowy, shiny and amazing. My ends were frayed and dry, and after use, it was soft again! The only bad thing about this shampoo is that it has a lot of oils in it. Hair is always bound to be super super oily by the end of the second day.

I love Nexus shampoo and the way it makes my hair feel. When Nexus stopped selling to the Beauty Supply Stores and started selling at places like Walmart & Target they discontinued the 33oz bottles - so I'm glad I was able to find it through Amazon. Great job Amazon! Now you need to sell the refill bags.

Shampoo is of good quality but they seem to have changed the consistancy of this liquid. I have been using this product for about thirty years and am VERY familiar with it. Still works fine but is NOT the smae!!

The current Therappe is not the same as it used to be. I noticed the bottle changed but didn't think about it. But after I used it several people said wow you're hair doesn't look the same. Sure enough the old bottle instructions didn't mention conditioner but the new bottle does ! So I went around looking for all the product in the old bottles.

Nexxus is, by far, the most expensive shampoo I've ever bought (I'm a guy). I bought a 2*20oz. bottles (shampoo + conditioner) combo from a brick store but, being a guy, I don't care much about the conditioner part because I don't have the patience to use it. This means that I'm using the shampoo only and the conditioner goes to waste. I wish I checked Amazon first but, somehow, when it comes to grooming supply, Amazon is not (yet) the first place that comes to mind.

Now, about the shampoo itself. It is, BY FAR, the best shampoo I've ever used at home. And this says a lot, since it's coming from 'a guy'. I'm not going to say what other brands I used recently but, with the Therappe, my hair is shinier, feels more alive, it's easier to comb. It gives me that sensation of comfort that the shampoo commercials like to talk about but, somehow, I've never felt before.

And, one more thing. I LOVE the pump solution. We have kids and, whenever they take showers in our bathroom, which is often, we find the shampoo bottles open and water from the shower mixed with the shampoo. It can't happen with a pump top. So, if you have kids, the pump tops are the way to go :)

It looks like I'll be using Nexxus as my default shampoo until something better comes up.

I have long, thick, wavy and color treated hair. I was introduced to this product years ago and strayed away from it to try other newer products. I still haven't found a shampoo or conditioner that makes my hair as smooth and manageable as nexus does. Its great for heavy thick hair like mine and doesn't strip your hair color either. I have lots of natural waves and instead of making your waves frizzy it makes them smooth and so pretty! Great product that's stayed around for years!

This stuff is super! I thought I was using good shampoo before, but this stuff practically makes my hair SING! I have long, [untreated] naturally blond hair, so I need good shampoo. Some products make my hair look dark, or seem to strip the life right out of it. Not this stuff. I kid you not, if I wash it, use the Nexus Humectress Conditioner, towel dry it, then air dry it naturally, I see the most beautiful natural color and waves in it. I never saw my hair come out like that before. I LOVE this stuff. I should mention that I am NOT a spring chicken either, so I don't have that hair-like-a-baby the 25 year olds have in the television commercials.
