Pretty good game. As with seemingly all Saturn or PS1 games its choc full of polygonal graphics which look pretty bad. After playing lots of both recently Id prefer the 2D sprites of 16-bit games and then wait for the jump to PS2 or X-Box. With this said the graphics are ok and the presentation is pretty good. Action packed with lots of good sounds and announcing. The action is pretty quick and control is good but caught somewhere in the middle of solid but limited Genesis and open but confusing PS2. As with all old sports games half the fun is playing with the old rosters and matching Yzerman up with Roenick is sweet. This game is fun and a nice little time machine for Saturn. I look forward to playing lots more.

A HUGE gameplay improvement.,

This is a HUGE gameplay improvement. Last year's title was sloppy and not all that great, but this is excellent. All the NHL teams, good pace, a lot less sloppy, and strong visuals. This still doesn't look as good as what's on the N64 and Playstaion, but it is the most fun you can have on the Saturn. A must-buy, even if you do not like hockey.
