Great for kids adopted from China,
By "becky@briscoepa.com" (FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: NiHao Little Friends - Learn Chinese with ChinaSprout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As the mom of a 26 month old adopted from China, I am thoroughly pleased with this video. I want my daughter to be exposed to her native language, especially at her young age. She is completely captivated by the up-beat, energetic, colorful and fun mix of songs, counting, and words. This video teaches children the Chinese words for numbers 1 to 10, colors, animals, and fruit, as well as simple phrases. The children in the video are adorable as they sing and dance in beautiful Chinese clothing. The songs are very catchy. It is the best I have seen of its kind for teaching Chinese to children. And it's teaching me some Chinese, too!

Easy to Learn Mandarin,

This review is from: NiHao Little Friends - Learn Chinese with ChinaSprout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Our daughter has been eager to learn more Mandarin. She began watching "NiHao Little Friends" at age 4,when it first came out. This video has made it easy to add more words to her vocabulary. She watches the children and teacher repeat the phrases. Having someone speak slowly and clearly on a child's level makes it very helpful. Our daughter and I have learned many useful words withthis video. Ages 3+ seem appropriate.

Ni Hao Little Friends,
By A Customer
This review is from: NiHao Little Friends - Learn Chinese with ChinaSprout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
My 5 year old loved this video. It helped her get started with understanding and speaking Mandarin. The video would be good for children from 2-7 years old who speak little or no Mandarin.
