5.0 out of 5 stars Really impressed with this showerhead!
We purchased this after our much-loved Moen showerhead suddenly died. I was skeptical of the 1.5GPM and how forceful the spray would be. We received this yesterday and are STUNNED by how nice this is! Spray is strong, with no "spitting" of water. The dial can be adjusted from a strong spray to medium to gentle, and there is a very forceful pulsating massage spray as well...

2.0 out of 5 stars Product lasted only 4 months
We have utilized this shower head only for 4 months, then the shower head adjusting head cracked and broke off.
There are 3 people in my house using the same shower, which means that the shower head was readjusted 2 to 3 times a day.
To sum it up, if you are adjusting the settings on your shower head daily it will break on you within several months of light...

I'd highly recommend this to others- the price is reasonable and the H20 savings will be significant as well. Overall this a great product for our environment and also for the wallet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for what it is!, October 26, 2010
This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
My wife has long hair and I have no hair and we both love it.

It doesn't have much competition, but this is the best showerhead for saving water and money on the hot water bill. It also compensates for the low water pressure because of the low flow rate (1.5 gpm). Another bonus for those with big families is that you won't run out of hot water. If it's been a crazy day and it just happens that the clothes washer and dishwasher were run close to the time that a few people need to shower then this showerhead gives you the best chance of staying warm until the end.

The one thing that can be said is that it just can't compare to a nice showerhead over 5 times the price from a high end fixture company. Comparing it to something like the Hans Grohe Raindance showerhead is like comparing a chauffeured Rolls Royce to a Prius. They are just made for different things. If I didn't care about conserving water, a guarantee that my shower will stay hot until the end when I am the last one to get ready, and or didn't care about the electricity bill, I would go with my Raindance. It just feels better. But since I do care about those things and I don't want to sacrifice them, I'm sticking with my Earth Massage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Improvement, February 1, 2011

I bought a new (old) house and am on a septic system for the first time ever. I quickly learned that the less water going down the drain and into the septic tank, the better. I bought this to replace an existing 2.5 GPM shower head, and not only am I saving water in terms of gallons per minute, but I'm also saving minutes, because the velocity of the water that comes out of this is way better than the old one. More than worth the $25 (including shipping) I spent. As a plus, the old one had a plastic hose that was shorter and got twisted easily whenever my wife would take it off the hook. This meant that whenever I came along and turned on the water, it would rear up, turn, and blast me in the face. I'll probably go ahead and buy another one for our guest bathroom.

To sum it up, if you are adjusting the settings on your shower head daily it will break on you within several months of light usage (the shower head is plastic).
Initially we liked the design and how it functioned, but durability wise it is poorly designed product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Saves water, good flow, but water pressure regulator slips out easily, May 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
I saw a 1 star review for this product that mentioned the water pressure regulator breaking, and then the showerhead making this unbearable screeching noise after 1 month of usage. Well, mine happened about 2.5 weeks into using it. Otherwise it was pretty good at using less water, and had a good flow compensator that made the water stream pretty well when the shower was at partial strength (I only turn on the water part way). This probably meant that the flow was even better at full. But it was slightly leaky in some areas, which could be annoying. Anyway, so the reason this screeching noise starts happening randomly at some point is because the little plastic flow regulator can slip out of place when you have strong water pressure at your place. It's pretty easy to fix; unscrew the bottom of the showerhead (probably where you have seen it leak before), and you'll probably see a small plastic cone looking thing that's sideways. If you take it out and pop in back in place correctly then that'll fix it. It was kind of a pain for me to have to do that with a new product though. Have to admit that the engineering for that part could've been better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy installation...Weak water pressure., February 21, 2011

This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
This shower unit is nicely built and easy to install, however, contrary to many reviews, the water pressure is greatly decreased. There are only a few water settings and only one of them is sufficient for rinsing shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. I do like the all metal hose compared to many I have had that were plastic and hung awkwardly from the shower head. If saving water is your primary goal in obtaining a shower head, then I would recommend this, otherwise I would keep looking.

3.0 out of 5 stars Powerful spray for 1.5gpm, but not wide enough, October 9, 2011

Got this showerhead based on others reviews on the low-flow, yet powerful spray and was pleasantly surprised! However, I find that the diameter of the spray is far too narrow. Our previous low-flow showerhead (a freebie from our local utility) was 2.0 gpm, but had a wider, adjustable spray diameter. I get too cold in the shower when my shoulders aren't getting any spray. I would probably recommend buying a different one, just for that reason.

4.0 out of 5 stars Low flow but adequate spray, December 17, 2010

This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
This removable shower head conserves water like no other! I have been living with a Waterpik 2.5 gpm hand-held for a few years and found the water volume unremarkable and the quality of the mount poor at best. The head frequently fell off and as it struck objects during the falls cracked and chipped the plastic so that small leaks were stealing from the spray.

I finally broke down to buy another and chose the Earth Massage based on the lower flow rate and decent reviews.

I am satisfied (not thrilled) with the flow and the 2 (really only 2 though the combination of them can be infinite) spray streams work reasonably well. The best part is the mount is solid and secure. I can't see this flying off the mount unaided.

Overall I like the shower head and am happy to be conserving more water while getting roughly the same quality shower as the 2.5 gpm Waterpik.

Delivery was faster than advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy, July 24, 2011
This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
I was skeptical of this shower head and the previous reviews but they are all accurate. This shower head does not cause any pain or stinging whatsoever, it feels just like any other shower head. As you can tell from the picture, it does not have a wide head and therefore is a narrower stream than other shower heads and there may be some who might be bothered by this. I have not tried the other massage options on it but I never do, I enjoy the steady full stream and since I have normal water pressure, I do not notice any difference with this shower head. It would be 101% perfect if they offered it in a satin nickel finish but compromising the one piece in a closed shower for chrome is worth it to save water. Get this shower head!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good low flow showerhead, April 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Niagara 1.5 GPM Handheld Showerhead with massage (Misc.)
Was a bit dubious about buying this very low flow shower-head as I had gotten another one (a Delta brand) last year and it's terrible. However, I like to do my part and conserve water so decided to give this one a shot. And surprise, it's good. Much, much better than the Delta, that's for sure. The water flow is surprisingly good - - it's low flow and you can't get around that, but it works fine. No problem rinsing soap and conditioner from your hair. The one negative I have is that there is no on/off switch so you can conserve even more water whilst shampooing, etc. Seems like that would have been a no-brainer to include in this item -- bummer to have to turn the faucet off and on during a shower, but baring that this is a good shower-head.
