I am a yoga instructor (and a musician), and I've been searching for a relaxing cd to use for my yoga classes for years. This one is one of my favorites! I even listen to it outside of class when I just need to unwind. Lovely...

Rather than listening, I found letting this music happen to you is like opening a thermos of warm colors, exotic flavors, mysteries and memories. Chris Brenne's new CD is at once calming and evocative, and carries the undercurrent of excitement felt with something new, something coming, something centred. As you bend, lean and press through yoga practice, Brenne's music will swirl around you like leaves in the breeze of a gentle exhale.
Nice Avec Toi is the best release yet from the Swedish Brenne, leave your shoes and your worries at the door and step through the portal of this bard's world. I found myself grateful for the purity of one acoustic guitar, and yet amazed at the kaleidoscope of sound and artistry he produces. Brenne's musical compass on this release wanders through several continents, sewing together influences from Indian to Swedish to Spanish into a unique tapestry of his own creation. He has thoughtfully left some evocative spaces in the music, and a nice blending of distant but sublime vocals of Parul Vakani on several tracks brings a nice sense of space and freedom to the listener. If I come back for another life, I could do worse than being a cat at the Brenne household... stretching my cares away with a grin.

I am a huge fan of this CD. The music is beautiful and is great to hear at whatever time of day. In fact it's just as enjoyable to listen to during the work day as it is curled up with a hot cup of tea.

This cd is fantastic! So great to practice yoga to or simply just play when you have a dinner party or want to relax.
I highly recommend all of Chris's cds.
