I don't know what that Kamryn person is talking about. She obviously didn't read the book. There are at least 37 specific things to do to make your friend happy - and in several situations, there are 10 ideas in one suggestion! Great book.

What a wonderful little book. "52 Ways to Make Someone Happy" offers wonderful suggestions of things to do to make anyone feel "special". I particularly liked #42 ... clever, inexpensive gifts. Nope ... I'm not gonna reveal them. I guess you'll have to buy the book and find out for yourselves. :-)Each and every suggestion is wonderful and most require little or no expense and minimal effort. But the results could be priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone wanting to make that "special someone" happy, be it neighbor, friend or family member. Kudos, Jeri ... and thank you!

Good things to do, but not to make someone feel "special",

I got this book hoping it would be as it claimed--things to do to make someone in your life feel special and happy. There are only a couple that apply. While things in this book may be nice thing to do in general, chances are that being an organ donor, giving blood, donating old items to charity, or finding cancer patients and offering to drive them to the hospital won't make your friends & family specifically feel appreciated or happy unless they are the cancer patient, or are the ones who need blood. These could be considered nice things to do in the universe, and could make you feel better about yourself for doing such. I was disappointed because I was looking for little things to do for my own family & friends to make them happy, and this book only has maybe two useful ideas in the book directed towards that. |
