MERRY CHRISTMAS... From December 10th to January 3rd I will be discounting my Kindle books. The Christmas price will be .99. The price has been changed and we're just waiting for Amazon Kindle to update the price. Enjoy and have a wonderful holiday season.
I was born in New York City and moved to South Florida when I was in the seventh grade. I finished school and started my working career in the Ft. Lauderdale area. In my early twenties I moved back to New York. After living in New York for a few years I decided that I didn't like cold and settled in Central Florida where I met my husband Michael. Two years ago we purchased a home in Louisiana.
As a child I wrote stories all the time but then I grew up and life took hold leaving little time to write. I have always loved Vampire stories and one day in late 2005 I scribbled some thoughts on paper. Later that evening I read my notes, added to them and continued the story. That was how the Vampire Derek was conceived; although I have to admit that the inspiration for my handsome, green eyed vamps good looks come from the movie Dracula 2000.
Some of the scenes in "Derek" take place in Alaska, and when it was written I had never been there. It has always been my dream to see Alaska and in 2007 my husband surprised me with a cruise to Alaska. It's the most scenic, pristine place I have ever been. I can't wait to go back, there's so much more I want to see. Would I recommend a Cruise to Alaska? Most Definitely!
My second book in the series "Nicholas" contunues the "Vampire Burnes Tales" and was released about a year later. The third book in the series is rumbling around in my head trying to get out. I have started it, but due to some cervical spine issues its been a slow process.
My third book, "Lindsey's Nightmare" is a story about a woman, her daughter, her lover, and her late husband. It takes place in Montana and it's a real battle between good and evil.
Michael and I have two cats, each with unique personalities. Missy, is 7 and she's a cranky chubby (I'm being polite calling her chubby) cat that doesn't like anyone but my husband. Bandit on the otherhand, appreciates people because he was a rescue kitty. I found him by a dumpster when he was approximately six months old. It was obvious that his previous owner dumped him and a lot of personal belongings when they moved. We also have have a 3 year old Golden named Jinger, who is a sweet dog that loves everyone;and a 3 year old black lab named Noah that is the "Marley" of the family. He's always running and in trouble most of the time.
I am a soft touch for vampire books, especially those witten against a backdop of strong family connections. Hey, who can resist the Black Dagger Brotherhood or the Argeneau's? Add to that this was a $2.99 Kindle book, and I bought both Derek and Nicholas without looking at a sample. Unfortunately, while the story was sometimes sweet, it was also disjointed, often illogical, and written by an amateur. The dialog was stilted; the grammar terrible. I found myself pressing the next button over and over and finally just went to the end, where it ended abruptly with no real ending. Save yourself $6.00 and pass on these two books. Invest in Kerrelyn Sparks or Christine Feehan. They're worth the money. Unfortunately, these were not.
I rarely write reviews but i had to say that this was a great great book, its about love friendship and family, it was sweet, happy sad lol, if there is such a thing, it had action, suspense, drama and the love scene were great.
