I like to see people turn their lives around from bad to good. This show has great stories of people rebounding.

Stories are sad but true problems we have within our society today. Will definitely break your heart for the families and the addicts involved.

I was part of a group trying to help ladies on drugs. I had a very hard time understanding what these ladies was going through and did not know how to help except pray. Intervention helped me to see the "big picture". Some people do not think they have a problem to begin with, some just want to be heard, some do not what help and some do not know how to ask for help. Once I could see these things I could help the individual (understanding that all cases are different in there own way). I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination however I do know who is. Thank you

Very heavy topis and very inspiring! Some will get their lives together and some won't. The ones that do, are the reason I love this show!

I watch these shows a couple at a time - that's about all I can take in one sitting. It amazes me that some addicts don't want help, they want to keep being addicts and doing what they do until they die. Unfortunately, if there is an addict in the family, everyone's focus is on them - what they want, what they need, how to get help for them, what to do about them, a place for them to stay. Siblings of addicts don't get any attention other than what they can do to help their brother or sister. Parents often wind up being enablers because they're worried about their child (their other children can just disappear it seems). Addicts are very selfish people. These shows do a good job of showing the cons of being an addict. As I watch them, I change from feeling sorry for them to being angry to feeling hopeful - the emotions run the gamut. The shows are put together well with input from the addict, their families and their friends, plus showing what rehab is like.

When a family member has an addiction, it is clearly detrimental to the family; however, some members are in denial and enable the addiction to continue. Intervention shows how these family members are confronted realistically. The addicts in the show know they are doing a documentary on addiction; therefore, what the audience sees is true life addiction, including how addicts manipulate family members into meeting basic needs. The finality is the family planning an intervention with an addiction specialist for their loved one. Typically, the person with the addiction goes to rehab, though sometimes it is through additional intervention (intense). The follow-up truthfully shows that some people leave rehab too soon, leave rehab and begin using again, or leave rehab and stay clean. Awesome to watch if you have family members in denial, as they do not see that they are supporting a family members drug habit.

Great show. Felt bad for the ones who did not take the help. Hoping the ones that did get help are still doing good.
