5.0 out of 5 stars More infinite playlist, please
Great array of material by Indie artists. Nicely balanced, with just the right amount of over the top energy, countered by more acoustic material. Don't be afraid of unfamiliar band names! The music speaks loudly, and softly for itself. Even the most familiar artist, Vampire Weekend, does a tasty rejoinder to their self-titled debut album. Highly recommend!

3.0 out of 5 stars Incomplete Soundtrack
The soundtrack is missing "All The Wine" by The National. This song starts playing during the scene where Nick tells Norah the unfortunate news that his friends lost Caroline, and they take off in his Yugo to meet at the van.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Music, October 12, 2008
This review is from: Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist Soundtrack (Audio CD)
While this Cd is lacking some awesome songs from the movie it still has a lot of great music on it. I do suggest testing out the songs and listening to each one because this music is not for everyone.

I was obsessed with this soundtrack for about a month. I kept playing it over and over. I love it. It totally reminds me of the movie--which I loved too. I ordered it right after I saw the movie.

If you love the movie, as I do, this is a very nice compliment to it. Yes it misses a song or two, but it captures the movie. If you have not seen the movie, I would not buy the CD yet. Even if you have seen the movie, it is worth checking out all the songs on Amazon. I initially though only about half the songs were strong but the more I listen to it, the more I realize all are strong. The fun part is discovering new bands, like Army Navy, which released its first CD today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent review of Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist Soundtrack, November 16, 2008
This review is from: Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I loved the movie, and when I saw it, I knew that I had to have the soundtrack. I liked the affordable price Amazon listed the soundtrack as, compared to higher prices of other stores. The soundtrack is amazing, it's very unique and a lot of fun to listen/dance/sing to!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Album, November 16, 2008
This is a very enjoyable album. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants quality music that is slightly off the mainstream. In that way, the Nick & Norah soundtrack is a great primer for the indi music scene in New York and a few other places. And the fact that it comes in vinyl only helps it hold true to the spirit of the movie. Great music from a great movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saw movie. Not impressed. Have learned to love the music., April 2, 2011
This review is from: Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I saw the film when it came out in the theaters. I've been into SUPERCHUNK and IGGY and punk and love the Garden State soundtrack and generally love modern tunes. So when I saw the movie I had high musical expectations. I felt quite let down. Wasn't impressed a bit. Still, I bought the soundtrack thanks to Amazon for making it possible to buy it less than full price. By golly, I've gone on to love this thing. Some songs in particular are quite nicely emotional and fit the movie well. I watch the film when it comes on TV on occasion and still like both the film and the soundtrack. There's a coupla songs that were great that I'm gonna track down that never made the soundtrack. We'll see. When I saw Garden State I completely fell in love with the soundtrack while watching the movie. Today, a few years after both films, I'd say I sweetly enjoy both soundtracks about equally and am very pleased I bought each one of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best soundtracks to have on vinyl, February 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had this soundtrack on CD since the movie came out, and when I got a record player for my last birthday, I knew that I needed to have this album on vinyl. The soundtrack is a great compilation of songs provided by some of indie's greatest artists. It plays great on vinyl too. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.
