All the kids of the 90's know and loved all the old Nickelodeon shows: Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, Are you afraid of the dark?, AHH! Real Monsters, Clarissa explains it all, Pete & Pete and the list goes on...

My question is.. Why aren't these shows on DVD, as a rememberance of the old Nickelodeon??! Why are they always spewing out all the new, and all alike, I might add, shows on DVD now, even though they still play them 12 hours a day already???!

Nick never plays these old, unqiue, well-written, funny, ORIGINAL shows on regular day-time runs, except maybe 1 hour on Sunday, from what I saw.

I know many kids, and adults today would enjoy and would buy, these old shows/cartoons on DVD today. I sure the heck would!

I loved all the old shows, they were never boring. Always original with creative, witty humor woven in the 15 to 30 mintues of your life that you could just watch and laugh or just enjoy.

Yes, Nick has been putting out 1 or 2 DVDs recently like the 1st seasons of Clarissa explains it all and Pete & Pete, but I truly miss all the cartoons Nick had, so why don't they put those on DVD.. I really hope they do... SOON!

I truly miss all the old nick shows, they made nick original, clever and great, I don't see that anymore on Nick.

How many times can you watch Danny Phantom, Spongebob or Avatar?, the plots get boring, in my opinion.

If you agree with anything I wrote here, please rate my review highly, or write a review of your own explaining your view on the Old verses the New Nick.

OUT with the NEW, IN with the OLD! Long live 90's Nickelodeon!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Half-decent... July 6, 2005
A Kid's Review
I expected better when I purchased this DVD. The episodes include:

ALL GROWN UP - LUCKY 13

One of the most popular kids in school schedules a party the very same day Angelica is having her big 13th birthday bash!

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS - SPONGEBOB B.C. (BEFORE COMEDY)

In this double-length episode, the prehistoric Spongegar, Patar and Squog discover fire.

THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS - INFORMATION STUPORHIGHWAY

With an embarrassing e-mail from Timmy on its way to Trixie, Timmy has himself turned into data and dives into the Internet to retrieve it!

JIMMY NEUTRON/THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS - JIMMY/TIMMY POWER HOUR

When Timmy Turner wishes for access to the greatest laboratory in the universe, he's transported to Jimmy Neutron's secret lab! Once there, Timmy accidentally transports Jimmy into Dimmsdale.

DANNY PHANTOM - BITTER REUNIONS

Danny meets the evil Vlad Plasmius, a childhood rival of his father who, twenty years ago, also got ghost powers in an accident.

MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT - HOSTILE MAKEOVER

The wicked Cluster infects Jenny with a microscopic nanobot that slowly transforms her into a huge monstrous, robotic "she-thing."

RUGRATS - FINSTERELLA

After Angelica points out he's got a stepmom and a stepsister, Chuckie thinks his life is becoming just like Cinderella's.

I am not a big fan of DANNY PHANTOM or MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT, but the other are all right.

A Kid's Review
To the kid that wrote The Review under me I have a message for you. You dont need to get angry at The Frizz Person, (Sorry I just couldnt remember you name) were not saying your not allowed to like the New Nick Shows were just saying WE like the older ones better. So I dont think you shounld get mad at her (maybe he) and say in your title of The Review "I hate her".

I just wanted to say that, and by the way, how old are you? You dont have to say, im asking becuase the way you spelled your words, and the hurtful things you said.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well I`m giving it five stars... July 7, 2006
A Kid's Review
I dont mind the new Nick shows (I mean Jimmy Neutron, FarlyOdd Parents, and stuff like that.) If they made a dvd with Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Angry Beavers, Agghhh Real Monster (sorry if I spelled that wrong), Rugrats would also be ok. If I had a DVD with all those old Nick shows then it would be the best Nick (Nickeldeon) dvds out. To tell you the truth I LOVE Jimmy Neutron, but personally I like Ren and Stimpy better. I recomend this DVD to ANY NickToon fans.

I do agree with everyone who gave this one star. I WANT THE OLD NICKELODEON SHOWS ON THIS DVD!!! I don't have this DVD but I want to review anyway. I watched this channel since I was little. I still watch it now. At least there's a channel called Nicktoons Network that I can watch. I wish they would make a network called Nickelodeon Oldies and Favorites. That would be awesome!

2.0 out of 5 stars Why dont the creators get to choose? November 6, 2005
A Kid's Review
It would make so much sense. The creators can easily choose which episode is the more reasonable to pick. For example,Danny Phantom,Bitter Reunions was an excellent episode, but in Nick Picks 2, they chose Splitting Images which was not a ground breaking episode at all.Especially with episooes like My Brother's Keeper or Public Enemies. Some episodes are good, but most arent. Give us season sets so we can choose ourselves.

A great Dvd for any fan of the Nicktoons. It is also a great for the entire family. It contains many different episodes of the the best shows and some of the least shown episodes.
