We bought one of these hot water dispensers in Novemeber '09 after having owned Insinkerator brands in the last 2 homes in which we have lived. We selected this product based on the style and selection of stainless steel finish.Recently, our Quick and Hot has begun emitting only a tiny trickle of water which takes forever to fill a cup. Not only that, but the water is dispensed in such a way that it comes out of the tap in a very erratic fashion, sometimes out of the center, but just as often, out of either side of the tap, so that it sputters and splashes the hot water onto your hand as you hold the cup. We looked in the instruction manual provided by the company and they suggest removing the filter to soak it in vinegar, then use a brush to remove any debris. This accomplished nothing. As the product has a one year replacement warranty, we thought we could contact the company for a possible replacement. Read the warranty carefully. It does not cover the following problems, which are taken from the instruction manual: 1. Water is not hot (really? isn't this a HOT water dispenser?) 2. Hot water drips of sputters from faucet (be sure to wear protective gear while using the dispenser) 3. Water does not flow right away or at all (really? are you just supposed to imagine how nice it would be to have the water come out into your cup?) I would never buy another product made by this company.

This review is from: Westbrass D271-26 Velosah Hot Water Dispenser with Single Handle Hot Water Dispenser Faucet, Polished Chrome (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have one and the water comes out in 'ripples'. It's not sputtering in the sense that gas in caught in the line or the water is too hot. It's more like the water pressure builds up, there's a surge of water, then less, repeat. The oscillation is maybe 10Hz. After a couple seconds of pouring, it becomes so aggressive that water begins to splash out of my coffee cup and onto my hand. Not a show stopper but pretty annoying. It doesn't start until after a couple of ounces of water have been poured. Westbrass? Suggestions? When I first installed, it didn't do this. Previous instant hot water dispenser (not Westbrass) didn't do this. Also when new (6 months ago), the handle was tight and responsive. Now it's loose and has some play in it. Still works but feels sloppy.

Get product! It comes complete and ready to install. The quick connect adapters make connecting the water lines easy -- and no leaks!!! All the dispensers manufacturers seem to have gone to neoprene tubing for the man faucet line. This has a tendency to kink which can delay the start of flow of hot water so it is helpful to ensure the tubing doesn't kink.

I don't know how I made it before we installed this in our kitchen. There is no waiting for your water to boil. If you are re-doing your kitchen think about adding this feature.
