Kids who watch Nickelodeon like music geared to them. They are not looking for special meaning,great guitar riffs,or good drummers. They like what sounds good to them and this is it.

When I heard that there was going to be a KIDS CHOICE CD coming out, I got the idea that Nickelodeon was trying to pull off a CD like the popular Radio Disney disks. After listening to KIDS CHOICE, I still feel that way, but Radio Disney has an overall better song selection.

Standout tracks:
*Dare You to Move (Switchfoot) - This is definately my favorite song on the CD, it's a little bit slower, and it was in the movie "A Walk to Remember."
*On the Way Down (Ryan Cabrera) - Ryan Cabrera is one of my favorite new artists, and his first single (On the Way Down) is really great. It fits nicely on this CD, and it's a song parents can enjoy as well.
*Tangled Up in Me (Skye Sweetnam) - Skye's another new artist, and she's a bit like Avril Lavigne. I love Tangled Up in Me, it's a fun song about being unique and having a crush.
*I Found A Way (Drake Bell) - Apparently I'm the only one that likes this song, seeing as most of the reviews rip it apart. It's fun, nothing serious, and it's pretty enjoyable. It's the themesong to the show "Drake and Josh," so it's no surprise that its on the KIDS CHOICE CD.

I like most of the songs on KIDS CHOICE, but there are a few that don't belong, and then the last three are songs I've never even heard of before ("She Said," "Can't Explain," and "Valli Nation"). As I said, KIDS CHOICE is a good CD for the target audience (preteens), but parents might get sick of this one.

I hate when people say that new music is "Bad Music", I lose respect for those types of comments and those types of people. Those artist work just as hard as Led Zepplin or The Rolling Stones,who are played out. This CD is great, I'm 16 & I listen to Britney, Fantasia, & Mariah Carey (Who are all my favorite artist). I think every kid should have this in their collection, I bought it for my little cousin, and even I listen to it!!!

I love this CD! It has the best most talented bands and singers ever! Not only are the good bands only on MTV, but also Nick and every other kid network. I especially love the Clay aiken song; he's soooooooooooooo emtional and talented poseur bands like Fear Factory wish they were this good!!! It also has the bestest band of all times: Good Charlotte! Fo not buy any underground garbage, support the mainstream!








If you took ANY of that seriously, this CD is for you.

If I didn't list it, it means it annoyed me(valli girls,cherry, and well i just never liked alicia keys) or, the artist sucked. 5 of them. Suggest a replacement? Jesse Mccartney, Lalaine, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Branch, Diana Degarmo...

GOOD MUSIC IS FADING AWAY. INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO GREAT BANDS THAT ACTUALLY SOUND GOOD SUCH AS THE WHO, LED ZEPPLIN, THE RAMONES, THE BEATLES AND MANY OTHER GREAT BANDS WHICH SOME OF THEM ARE EVEN SUITIABLE FOR KIDS, WE GET AWFUL BANDS LIKE SWITCHFOOT, GOOD CHAROLOTE, AND LIL ROMEO. THIS TEACHES CHILDREN NOT TO APPRECIATE THE GOOD MUSIC. WHEN ALOT OF KIDS LISTEN TO THESE BANDS THAT CAN ACTUALLY PLAY, ALL THEY SEE THEM AS IS OLD MUSIC AND THEN THEY WATCH MTV'S ASHLLEE SIMPSON SHOW. NONE OF THESE BANDS HAVE ANY IF LITTLE TALENT. INSTEAD OF QUEEN'S HIT 'BOHEMIAM RHAPSODY', WE GET GOOD CHAROLOTE'S SONG 'BOYS LIKE BOYS' OR HOWEVER IT GOES. KIDS, PUTDOWN SWITCHFFOT AND PICKUP A FAIRLY DESCENT ALBUMS AND STOP SUPPORTING THESE POSEURS. THE ONLY BANDS THAT ARE FAIRLY DESCENT THST KEEP ROCK FROM DIENG ARE JET, THE DARKNESS, KORN, SLIPKNOT AND SEVERAL OTHER BANDS. DONT BUY THIS CRAP. BY THE WAY YALL, I AM 14 SO NOT ALL YOUTH LISTENS TO BAD MUSIC.

The CD kind of sucks. The CD starts off with 3 good songs: My Happy Ending, Breakaway, and Everytime. Avril Lavigne's "My Happy Ending" is not the best song, but not bad either. Kelly's "Breakaway" was good, but the stupid people on Top 40 radio killed it. "Everytime" is a nice soothing ballad. And, that is where the fun ends. "Invisible" is just awful, with lyrics like "If I could just watch you in your room, if I was invisible, wait, I already am". Not only do the lyrics have everything to do with sex and nudity, but also make no sense whatsoever. Soon, it's the most fake punk band ever, Good Charlotte. Their songs may be catchy, but that's about it. Horrible, screechy vocals, and meaningless lyrics. Switchfoot's "Dare You To Move" is just okay. "Meant To Live" was a much more worthy song. Skye Sweetnam just sucks. Lil' Romeo, congrats on having a horrible show for 2 year olds! You can't rap! Another fake rock band called Simple Plan. Sure, their show Damage Control is one of the best shows ever, but their music is some of the worst stuff yet. Jessica Simpson's "With You" could have been put on, but no, they put the worst song by Jessica "Take My Breath Away", an 80's Berlin remake. Fantasia can't sing, and her voice screeches all the time. JoJo has the last good song on the CD, "Leave Get Out", about a break-up. Her voice is good, but the beat just is outstanding. The remaining 5 tracks are horrible. Oh, wait, "Dairy" is the last good song of the album. It's a nice mellow tune.

Other than those 5, this CD all around sucks.

Best Song: "Breakaway"
Worst Song: A lot of bad, but "Found A Way" is just horrendus.

Overall, buy something worth your money, like the Kelly Clarkson CD, or the Ciara CD. Because these songs suck.

This CD is filled with the pop hits of 2003 and 2004. Almost all of them are not worth hearing more than once. The only reason you should ever buy this cd is because of Switchfoot's "dare you to move". So, instead of buying this cd, just buy "the beautiful letdown" by Switchfoot.
